Most Recent Posts Meeting new horsy friends on ebayPosted Jun-23-07 10:31:15 PDT Hi everyone. What a great time I've been having since I started my equestrian book shop on ebay! It's been a lovely surprise to me to get some really nice emails and feedback from people who have bought books from me. I had a really nice message from New Zealand thanking me for stocking the book she had bought for a professional eventing friend based in the UK (The Truth about Horses by Andrew McLean). Not only was she a big fan of the book, but the author is her trainer and the principles explained in the book had helped her qualify for the World Equestrian Games at Grand Prix level. WOW! A zillion miles away from the standard I'm working at but fantastic to get such an endorsement of the approach, based on natural horsemanship, which I believe in wholeheartedly having used it to rehabilitate my Andalusian. You can see her complete endorsement in my listing at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Equestrian-Media. Another customer who bought 'Natural Riding' from me lives only a few miles away and we got into conversation about her ex-racehorse thoroughbred mare, who was proving to be a real challenge! Fate lent a hand I think, because her book was the only one so far that got lost in the post, so to compensate for the delay I hand delivered it and we ended up chatting for an hour about her mare and the problems she was having. I have since been to see them both and helped her with some groundwork techniques that I know will help her overcome the problems she is having. I will be giving her some follow-up sessions and will share the details with you in later blogs. I'm looking forward to even more correspondence with my customers - and would love to hear from everyone out there who shares my passion for horses. Please email me at janet@horseheaven.co.uk or leave an entry in my guestbook.
