ArghhhhhhhhhPosted Dec-31-07 02:34:38 PST Why oh why do peeps go mad for an item when there are loads on auction Like for instance a Nintendo ds game, if you put a search for that particular game, it only lists that game and you can see at a glance how many are up for auction. I bidded on a game for my daughter, I kid you not there were only about 7 bidders going mad, and there were more games available than bidders. Why? does common sense go out the window? Take a look at the bigger picture peeps. Another thing, to keep prices down, why not leave it till last minute to bid. Just me rambling on, probably talking crap, what do I know, I have not bought very much huh? Oh and another thing that has saved me soooo much money, do your price checks on internet, sounds simple dont it? Would surprise you the number of people who bid, when you could get exact same cheaper with proper guarantees. Example, kids pogo stick, in Argos for £17.99, you can pick it up saving on postage or pay £4.95. Its on ebay for £29.99 with £9.99 postage. Enough said Was also going to buy a camera, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18, so glad I did my background checks on internet. Found a forum that talks about one of the dealers and so put me off bidding. There are two main dealers and without mentioning names, they claim the merchandise is from either Manchester or Nottingham, ITS NOT, its from America and will probably be reconditioned and not new. Though you have to hunt for the bit that tells you its reconditioned. Read every single bit of the ad, even if its 20 pages long, READ IT. For an extra £30 on what they are going for on Ebay, you could get one from an internet based company if you google to see who has the best price, with full UK guarantees, not to mention the proper plugs on adapters etc.
