Most Recent Posts It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's A Kiwano!Posted Jun-08-08 16:52:11 PDT One of the most bizarre fruits on the planet, the Kiwano or Horned

where it was spotted by some enterprising fruit growers from New
Zealand, who cultivated it and exported it to Europe and America, where
consumers would buy it for upwards of $5.00 apiece. Well, it turns out
that this orange dayglow blowfish-looking curiosity tastes so bland,
that the Africans would only eat it in times of famine or drought!
Kind of gives you a new perspective on culinary sophistication, eh? I
usually have one of these fruits hanging around, just to look at, so
I created a Fantasy Fruit day painting narrative around it. Has

edition giclee that I customized by adding some smoke to our hero's ice
cream cone. Seeing that it's over 90 degrees in NY today, I thought
this cool customer might help us all chill a little bit. |
