Archive - May 2007 Thanks to everyone who is praying for AVERY 0:-)Posted May-24-07 09:20:03 PDT Avery is doing well, gaining weight and growing. Today she's up to 4# 15oz. drinking from a bottle (instead of feeding tube) about 80% of the time. She was moved to the Cardiac ICU for closer monitoring due to he 'blood-oxygen' level plummeting repeatedly. She will have surgery Friday AM, to have a stint implanted to help with oxygenation of her blood. Doctor's say if all goes well with surgery and recovery she may be released to go home in couple of weeks. :-D Please continue to pray for Avery and her family. They need encouragement and strength! -Thank You
PS - Thank you to vt_pure_angel for the beautiful poem! Do you know who the author is? AVERY born Wednesday May 9th @ 10:48 pmPosted May-06-07 16:13:46 PDT Updated May-13-07 06:27:56 PDT The doctor's decided to induce the 9th @ 37 weeks, which is considered full term for a high risk delivery. AVERY was born: May 9th @ 10:48 pm. She was named AVERY VICTORIA; weight: 3# 8 oz; length: 18" We are all so excited for her coming! She is our third granddaughter however, we haven't had a new baby for over four years. :-) She is a very special child with the most wonderful parents a child could every want. Her older brother (5 yrs) will be a great asset, too! AVERY, welcome ... we love you baby girl! PS... Please pray for Avery and her parents as the doctors access her for heart & orthopedic surgery. Avery was born with two congenital heart defects and a malformed left arm and hand. Avery is being cared for by the best Neonatal specialist in St. Louis, we are confident they will be able to correct her heart defects when she is strong enough for surgery. She is currently breathing on her own, with a regular heart rate and doctor's say, she is doing great. She has already gained 1/2 #; is keeping her special 'formula' down without incident.
