Most Recent Posts ERTE Art Deco ART-To-WEAR Silk Scarves for sale! Business as usual...Posted May-16-07 21:10:52 PDT ERTE Art Deco Silk Scarves, Vintage 1980, made in Italy, available from ImaginAuction.com on eBay! Over a quarter of a century ago, when renowned artist and designer Erté set forth to reproduce a definitive selection of his famous art deco designs on yet-another graphic medium, 'Carry Back Ltd.' was the name registered to be his exclusive representative for the endeavor. In a limited, one-time production run, using only the finest available materials, these remarkable Erté 'Art-to-Wear' silk scarves were brought to life. Near flawless results were obtained during manufacture by using an old-world, multi-screen printing technique. True to his aesthetic vision, and executed with immaculate detail, these scarves were masterfully fabricated by highly skilled artisans in perfect accordance with Erte's' exacting personal and artistic standards of excellence. Still new, even after all these years! How? While investigating possible opportunities involving Erte's art, I was fortunate to meet a remarkably fascinating man. Once the proprietor of a successful international fashion & art import/export company, he'd been a reseller of Erte art items to the trade. Over the years they'd handled many Serigraphic prints, bronze sculpture, glass Lumiéres, and silk scarves, as well as other high-value art items, all created by artist Erte.He went on to explain that, although he'd basically retired from business, he still retained some unsold, remaindered Erte art deco inventory. This included a number of ERTÉ silk scarves he had originally been obtained wholesale in 1980. This inventory was then imported from Italy, where they were manufactured, back here to the U.S. They were then to be resold here in New York. Upon inspection of the lot, it was apparent that virtually every item from this remarkable and historic Erte inventory was still in pristine, like-new condition. Thoughtfully, the scarves had been well preserved. The entire lot had been wrapped and boxed, and then safely kept inside of a climate-controlled 'Art & Fur' type storage-vault for over 25 years! * * * * ImaginAuction™ is thrilled to have obtained this limited inventory of magnificent 1980's vintage ERTÉ 'Art-To-Wear' Art Deco Italian Silk Scarves, still in fantastic condition, even after all these years!
We are proud to offer-for-sale this classic, rare, and valuable art item. I am almost certain that you will find this Erte scarf just as beautiful and fantastic as did our many past purchasers of Erte 'Art-To-Wear' items.
With their luxuriously vibrant color and incredible art deco imagery, Erte's magical 'Art-To-Wear' silk scarves offer an incredible value. Representing the finest of artist Erte's enduringly popular designs, these magnificent scarves are available only in limited quantities. Originally, these highly-popular items sold-out soon after their initial release date. It is also doubtful that these rare and fabulous Erte silk scarves will ever be legitimately re-manufactured . That is why each exquisite example offered is considered a 'truly exciting addition to today's market' for this venerable artist's work". You're invited to obtain an original, authentic, 1980 vintage, Erte art deco design graphic on a lovely, high-quality natural silk scarf made in Italy by Erte! For anyone who considers themselves to be an avid collector of Erte, this ERTÉ 'Art-To-Wear' Silk Scarf offering is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Don't miss out! This offer is Inventory-limited!
