Is the summer heat starting to wear thin? It is for
me.
With all of the DIY projects going on at the Night
Sky Homestead,
it's easy to find excuses to get inside to the air
conditioning (swamp cooler)
"Honey. I need to go pour another bracelet, I'll
get back to painting the shop in a few minutes."
I can see my poor Tom, outside working in the heat,
from my studio.
I feel a little guilty, but, that's just a
little.
This is the summer that we have decided to start
building the observatory.
Tom is into all that astronomy stuff, and needs a
place to house his telescope.
As long as I can get that huge thing out of the
livingroom, I'm all for it.
I had no idea how big a DIY project it was going to
be. Not to mention how big in size.
If your interested in that sort of thing, or know
someone who is, we have a blog and a website started.
There is even a webcam pointed out my studio
window, so everyone can watch the building progress.
One neat trick, I've learned.
If you want Your Guy to clean up his mess, just
point a webcam at it and broadcast it on the internet.
Dolphins, dolphins,
dolphins

![]() Summer Butterflies
For you butterfly lovers, and you know who you are,
I have another butterfly bracelet finishing soon.
Some more sanding, buffing and polishing, and I can
start taking photos.
Oh, and I just received my order for Dragonflies. I
am excited to use them, they are so pretty.
I have a lovely friend Down Under, that prints them
for me on her extra special, expensive, dye based printer.
I takes a little more time to get them from
Australia, but they are gorgeous, and worth the wait.

Let's talk mermaids. Here is a sneak peak at what
on the workbench.
