Archive - September 2007 Anyone ever had this happen before?Posted Sep-30-07 21:29:51 PDT We went to eat...BBQ restaurant. I came home and was kind of tired. Started to feel funny....went to bathroom and got very dizzy, sweaty, hands tingling, heart was pounding hard...as if beating out of my chest, shaky, etc...Boyfriend was outside mowing...no one else in the house! No way to get any help! Scared the H--L out of me! I have an aunt who died in the bathroom, so it brought some bad memories back fast. I ran for the bed, which fortunately wasn't far away. Laid down and happened to be right where the A/C vent was blowing cold air directly on me...it felt really good...I think I may have blacked out. When I finally was able to get back up, I kept getting the same feelings again and again. I wanted to sit up in a chair, but just couldn't. I just had to lay down for a while. Boyfriend came in, totally shocked at my situation, because I had just been up and out with him to eat. Never did get sick at my stomach, but felt a little nauseated. Had some diahrea. Stayed very shaky...heart pounding...I took a Bayer aspirin thinking maybe it was my heart or blood pressure...Took a few hours for the effects to totally wear off. I feel much better now, but achy. I don't like it! Has anyone ever had anything like that happen? We both ate the same things, except I had a salad with lite italian and BBQ pulled chicken, whereas he had pulled pork. We eat at this place all of the time...and I have never had any problems. Food poisoning lasts longer than that, doesn't it? I have never, ever felt like that before! Thanks for the info.
OCTOBER FUN SALES! POST YOUR ITEMS HERE!Posted Sep-30-07 09:57:16 PDT I am starting some October fun sales in my store. I am trying to include every item I have listed in a sale. The sales range from 25-65% off. All school uniform items are discounted, as well as Halloween costumes, masks, toys, dolls, children's clothing, ladies clothing, and some glass vases I just listed. I love October fests and Halloween parties and there is no better time to have a sale to commemorate these festivities. By the way, I have discounted The Beatles Yellow Submarine figurines. Anyone who loves the Beatles...take a look at them. They are not new in the boxes, but there are a lot of pieces to it. Yes, my fur stole is authentic! I verified that yesterday with the store where it was originally purchased...and have it listed in my auctions. It is a vintage (from 50s) Mahogany Mink stole with the long front (which I was told is no longer made) and it has a fairly new lining that is very nice. It is gorgeous! If only I had somewhere to wear it! And, I may end up keeping it. Who knows? I never thought I would ever own one and NOW I DO. Somebody paid a lot for this many years ago and it has been taken very good care of. Super nice. Don't forget to check out the Shopping Center sales. Tomorrow will start a new week. Never know what you will find in there...and there are some of the best sellers on Ebay displaying their items for you to check out. God Bless Ladykiki for doing this SC thing for us. She puts a lot of hard work into it and we all owe her a big PAT ON THE BACK...and a lot of thanks. I do combine/discount shipping and will work it out so that it benefits you, as well as me. I ship EVERY day of the week. You pay and I send it out in the next mail run from my home. I do the same with purchases from International folks. I will go to the post office any day of the week that they are open.
THANKS FOR THE BLOG TEMPLATE....Posted Sep-29-07 12:31:20 PDT GOES TO HEAVENLY-ITEMS...This was purchased in the Shopping Center game and she really put a lot of time into making it the way I wanted...I like everything to "flow" around my babies...or for my babies to enjoy. My babies are my 3 grandchildren...Kylie 3, Kelsey 4 and Kaden 16 mo. They are the loves of my life! They love this theme~ Thanks Heavenly...check out her items for sell...she can do the same for you...and it is not expensive. If I can afford it, anyone can...LOL... The animated pic of my little one even blends in with the orange color scheme. It is awesome! Come in and browse...and don't forget to leave some spam...Posted Sep-29-07 12:14:30 PDT List whatever it is you have to sell HERE... Come on...free advertisement is good for everyone! As for me, I have a vintage Barbie doll that is coming to a close. I need more bids, but I guess I will take whatever I get and be thankful for a sale! I also have some little girls special dressy dresses, some school uniform items that I would love to see someone take, pretty little vases, collectibles, dolls, toys, women's clothing, fall & winter clothing...and much more. Visit the Shopping Center while you are out "shopping" too. There are many nice items to choose from and many great ebay sellers waiting for your business. Have a great day! Thanks for the help...I went to the store!Posted Sep-29-07 11:41:29 PDT Updated Sep-29-07 11:48:15 PDT I appreciate all the help with my question concerning the Mink Stole in my auction. I know now that I got a great deal on this beautiful item that I purchased yesterday! I finally called the only store left in Lexington (Embry's..sells furs of all kinds) and they said I could bring it in and they would look at it. Fortunately, there were 3 ladies who sell furs, and a couple of them just happened to work in the store that use to be downtown Lexington years ago. They remembered when the labels inside changed sizes! And now, the labels have the type of fur on them. Now that told me right off that they had been with the store for many years and they had loads of knowledge about the item I now own. They even remembered when the union tags were in them...and when unions were strong. Then, I was told that I could trade it in, if I would like and get a good deal on a NEW one. The trade would all be dependent on the price of the new one! Talk about wanting to spend some money! I really did. Talk about disappointment because I could not trade! I was! Well, I am not in the market for a new mink stole, but they had some beautiful red fox jackets that I would love to have. Just can't come up with the thousands of dollars involved in the purchase. OMG! But, what a trip! I also found out that the stole I have is in excellent condition and was given instructions on how to take care of it...storing it with tissue..no plastic...cold storage for warm weather, and now, no moth balls..(obviously was a method in the far past), etc. I feel much better about what I have now and it is fun buying something and actually doing a little research. By the way, the furrier that I visited was so nice. I actually felt comfortable being in there...and Lord knows I can't afford anything they have! But, Thank God, I found something they have had in the past...and now, it is mine. Just wanted to share this with you. This is one of the fun things about looking for items to sell on Ebay. Occassionally, you run into something very unique and unusual. Something that you thought you would never have. Guess that helped me have a great Birthday Week. By the way, I finally am going to see a doctor for the tumor on my hand. I will know after Monday, whether or not I will need to have surgery AGAIN.
Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek This little lady............Posted Sep-28-07 16:55:01 PDT Needs some bids. Vintage Barbie with bubble cut hair-do. She has some "ink" marks that actually may be from the dress she has on. It may have "bled" on the vinyl. Someone who is an expert in doll care will know how to get it off. She is in very good condition, with the exception of the stains.

Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek Just dropping by to say hello...Posted Sep-18-07 09:12:52 PDT Hope everyone is doing well. I had a busy weekend with several packages going out yesterday. That is always fun for me! Exciting, I guess I should say. Now, it is back to the lull of very few bids and hoping for another explosion! I have been doing a lot of business mailing to Canada and Australia and the experience has all been good so far. I have had business with some very nice people. I have tried to stay busy listing my things. Seems like the stacks just keep mounting higher and I get very little done each day. But, I am plugging along as much as my hands will allow. I hope you all have a nice week and that sales start picking up again. Please check out the sellers listed in the Shopping Center. Just type in shopping center on the search engine and look for Ladykiki...she is the hostest for that event. It is a nice way to get your items noticed and you are only required to shop and buy or bid on one item. The double dare games are great for exposure too. Those are always fun, but sometimes I am away and don't get a chance to play. Still it is good for exposure. Stop by and say hello...and if you know anyone with little girls who needs a special dressy dress, send them my way. I am listing those now...and I still have school uniforms and a few costumes for Halloween. It's OK to just sit and chat while you visit my store to. I have 25-50% off a lot of my items in my store. Don't forget to check the sales racks! Hello America! And Everyone who might come my way.Posted Sep-15-07 08:20:12 PDT How is everyone today? It is Saturday...no grandchildren...boyfriend is working...dog is asleep...and all is quiet in the house. I plan to do some listing today...still taking advantage of the gallery special! Love it when Ebay does something nice like give us a good deal on listings...the whole month of September. I have 3 listings ending today...and have NO bids on them. Maybe nobody needs what I have, but please check them out...just to be sure. I need some sales! My bank account is low and this is my only way of making money right now. Plus, I want to be able to stay in the Shopping Center list...so I have to be able to shop there too. LOL. Boyfriend will support some purchases...Thank God for him! Have a great day. Stop by and say hello. Look at my spam listings just to see if you can use anything I have. And, let's all have a great weekend. Fall is on it's way! Kind of cool outside today...nice break from the high heat we have had lately. Love to all! Just want to say Thank You!Posted Sep-14-07 07:55:58 PDT To all those who take the time to sponsor Double Dare, Shopping Center, Bloggers Mall, The Green List, whatever...thank you for your generosity! I greatly appreciate the chance to have people look at what I have to sell! Come on, people! These are all GREAT WAYS to do some extra advertising and get your items looked out. And, it doesn't cost much...just a purchase from another player. Doesn't mean you will sell, but it means people will shop your store or auctions. YOU GET EXPOSURE! I appreciate every effort that is put into these games and any others I might have missed. It certainly was not my intention to leave anyone out and if you know of any game that is used, please add it to this so that the person/persons responsible can get a pat on the back. They certainly deserve it. Let's all play responsibly, but by all means, if you are a seller, try to take part. It will help you tremendously! Remember that not every person will need what you have, but there may be one that will need more than one thing and may keep returning or referring someone else. God bless the bloggers and those who make it a fun place to visit! Woooohooooooo! I survived my hearing!Posted Sep-12-07 14:47:54 PDT I had my hearing today for social security disability. There was some guy who testified as to whether or not I should be able to work, using the text book version of my job descriptions. I worked at the Waffle House as a management trainee for a few months when I was between jobs (I had lost a job due to changes in the doctors' practice). I busted my butt from 5 am to 3 pm 5 days a week and cooked during the busy times. This guy said that job was considered light to medium as far as the work load. I bet I worked harder then than he has EVER worked. He said as a trainee, I probably spent more time reading and sitting. I said, "yes, with noone there but me and the employees". Now, perhaps I could have done his job. All he did was look up the job description and read about it. Anyway, the judge is leaving my case open until I see the doctor on Oct. 1 for this knot that is on my right wrist. I also needed the reports from my GP for 2007, which somehow got left out. I am going to go to my Orthopedic doctor about my knees too. Might as well add that, while I am at it. The guy did say that I could no longer do my "Ophthalmolgic technician" duties. I said my title was "Ophthalmic Technician". That was my first clue that he was reading from a cheat-sheet. Oh, and my Orthopedic doctor had in his report that I could only work a couple hours a day total without discomfort and that I needed to put my feet up 15 min. out of every hour, while standing, sitting, etc. And, I would probably miss at least 3-4 days a month. I cannot use my right hand very much at all, and I am right handed. This guy said I could use my left hand to enter data. Now, we all know that keypads are on the right hand side of the keyboard...and I don't know about you, but I can't do much with my left hand at all, when it comes to typing, except what I have learned in typing. I can't type very well...only one finger here and there and I make mistakes big-time because I don't have a lot of control over my hands and fingers. Everywhere I know of would want someone with speed and accuracy! So, I guess maybe this guy can find the job he is talking about. Don't you just love these guys that make BIG bucks to do this kind of thing. They are a JOKE. My lawyer feels like we did good. So, I will be seeing a psych. and my orthopedic doctor and then, the judge will make her ruling after October 15. Thanks for all your prayers...and keep them coming. This thing isn't over yet. Thank God I had the day to just do what I wanted. I went to some antique malls and just roamed around. I enjoyed the day to myself. It helped me unwind.
Now, I am nervous!Posted Sep-11-07 22:41:52 PDT Please say a prayer for me! Tomorrow is my hearing with the judge for my SS Disability. I have been turned down twice with just my medical records being examined. This time, I actually go before the judge. I am scared. I have had depositions before and they are horrible. Lots of questions designed to trip you. All I an do is tell the truth, so hopefully, the ruling will be in my favor. I am thinking positively. Thanks for the support. I hope everyone had a good day today. Yes, it was the anniversary of a bad day, but with God's help, we are still here. My heart goes out to family & loved ones who lost people in the 9/11 incident. God bless you. Thanks for letting me get this out. I am nervous, but I know how I feel and I know I have to show the judge what I go thru on a daily basis. Good night all. I am headed to bed. I have to be at the hearing at 8:30 am. Yes, I do have legal representation. A group that does nothing but handle SS claims. My CostumesPosted Sep-10-07 07:51:04 PDT Just wanted to post what is left of these costumes. If you or someone you know, needs one, send them my way. Thanks. BUY HERE...PAY HERE...just like a used car lot!
Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek Let's help each other with promoting....Posted Sep-10-07 07:47:00 PDT Well, it appears that the Green List may be a thing of the past. Too bad, because I loved it..thought it was a great way to get people to look at my things, while I looked at theirs. Bought a few things too. I wanted to get my name on the Double Dare list Saturday, I think it was, and actually made a purchase, but didn't ever see my name posted there. Oh well. Win some and lose some. Gave me a chance to check out everyone's items for sale. Spent yesterday listing, listing and listing. Took advantage of a promotional thing...with listing if you purchased gallery, the listing was free. Cost me 5 cents less than normal. Yeah! Big savings and I got the gallery listing too. I want to invite everyone to post here. I will look at your things if you will look at mine. Maybe everyone else will do the same. Maybe we can all share looking at each others. Let's get a little extra exposure here. OK to spam if you want. I don't mind. Anything that helps boost sales, is OK with me. Here is a small sample of what I have:
