Archive - January 2008 Baxter is very shy! But he is sure it is ALL ABOUT HIM!Posted Jan-31-08 20:20:40 PST Updated Jan-31-08 20:25:55 PST That's my boy. My daughter bought him for me 6 years ago for my birthday! He was the size of a man's hand at that time. We even took him with us to a near-by town's festival and he rode in my boyfriend's "hand". He was suppose to be approx. 5 lbs, but he is more like 8-9. He only eats Eukaneuba (ever how you spell it) and a few Ole Roy treats (his favorite!) from Walmart. He has associated treats with me or Tom getting out of the shower! When I worked, he would always be ready for a treat in the morning when I would get out of the shower. AS soon as the shower went off, he would come running as if to say: Here I am...ready for my treat! He gets so excited over a little bitty treat! We have dogs in the 3 houses that adjoin our back property and on one side. He "socializes" with all of them and has no clue that he is the runt of the bunch. He thinks he is as big as the boxer! And, he loves to get outside to run the fence line with the dogs. Our vet said he had never seen a chihuahua so friendly. He thinks "it's all about me". He thinks everybody that comes to our house is here to see him. He doesn't really like kids, but he tolerates them. Has only snapped at one when she kept aggravating him. We watched him very closely around the children, but so far, he is OK. He really likes to run in the backyard with them, or chase his ball. He hasn't learned to fetch and bring it back. He can fetch, but he keeps running with it in his mouth. Such a funny guy. He has really added to my life in the past 7 years. I got him at the same time I started dating my current boyfriend. Baxter was so little that when we took him outside, he would whine because he thought he couldn't get up a tiny step that was only 3-4 inches off the ground. Tom would just shut the door...making him do it. Poor little guy. Baxter was brought to me in a basket with a pink "full-sized" thermal blanket. That is still "his blanket" today. And, he started out sleeping in the downstairs bathroom, and that is still where he likes to sleep. At midnight, he jumps down from the recliner where he and Tom have been sleeping (Tom says they are watching TV! Yeah, right!) and goes downstairs to his pink blanket...which by the way, is on top of a new flannel doggy bed that I purchased off Ebay. He loves his "space" and fits into my life "like a charm". I wanted a chihuahua because my mother had one when I was a child. It slept with me and growled if I so much as tried to move during the night. Then came the Taco Bell commercials and I had to have another little dog. Mom's dog was tan and looked like a little deer. Baxter is as close as my daughter could get to that! He has been perfect. I did notice when I took his pic though that I think he is getting cataracts. He has gray around his mouth. Actually, he and Tom have a lot of features in common! Hmmm. MYSTERY AUCTIONS...coming to a close!Posted Jan-31-08 09:57:54 PST Come and check out my mystery auctions. Pick up some items for your own personal use or resell it! I hope to put in items that are Medium/Large/X-large, size 12-14. I can't list each individual measurement because that would defeat the "mystery" of this auction. Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek POST your spam here...Hello and I hope you are doing well...Posted Jan-24-08 23:25:46 PST Come in and post your spam here! As for me? I have just finished listing several mystery auctions. They all start with a FLAT RATE Priority box and will be filled with many various contents. What is going on? I am starting to clear out things. I am beside myself. Haven't bought anything in the almost 3 year time, and now? It is hard to even want to spend any of it. I am going tomorrow to invest most of it. The good thing? Now, I will have a little bit of income on a monthly basis. Ebay? It will be for "pure pleasure". I can sell and buy whatever I want, as much as I want, for as long as I want. I don't have to do it. So? I am wanting to sell off some of my things and am offering lots in the flat rate boxes. Check them out. There may be something you would like to "take a chance" on. The auctions start at just .99. I did that so I could at least cover my fees. Other than that, I really won't even be looking at the selling price. It will be nice if it is upwards. But, I will let the items go, regardless. Come bid with me. I have also listed a few more school uniform pieces. These are polo shirts and shorts for the upcoming Spring and Summer. Most are NWT. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good night. I will be running along to bed now. Need energy for tomorrow...lots to do...places to go..Going to look for a new bed set...comforter set. That will be nice for the house.
EXTRA savings on items purchased in my store today!Posted Jan-24-08 03:47:41 PST I am celebrating getting my Social Security Disability finally after close to 3 years! I have already marked down most of the items in my store. However, for today ONLY, buy my items and take an extra 10% off the already marked down prices. Email me for a revised invoice BEFORE you pay and I will gladly take an extra 10% off for you. That does not include shipping...just the listing price. However, it does include ALL items in the store purchased. I will also discount shipping on multiple purchases too! I normally take the highest price and add half of each of the others to it. Lately, I have been actually weighing everything in the shipping box and determining the actual shipping from that, adding a small handling fee, usually $1-2, depending on the number of items. This is a great savings on shipping of multiple items for the buyer. If you don't like my prices, make me an offer. NO reasonable offer refused. I do have to make enough to cover my costs, but my main goal is to move this stuff out. Buy for your own use, or for resell. Your choice. I hope to have so lots of clothing for sell soon too. These are good for personal use or resell. Keep watching and help me liquidate this stuff. Thanks and have a great day.
Something to share with you all..Posted Jan-23-08 23:47:02 PST I have finally gotten my back pay settlement from Social Security Disability. I have not had any income since April 26, 2005, the day I had surgery on my right dominant hand for carpal tunnel. From there, everything went downhill and I ended up with nerve damage in my hand. After all the problems I had, I found out that I had fibromyalgia and it was causing me as much trouble as the carpal tunnel did. Needless to say, I was unable to continue doing my job as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. I filed for Disability September 9, 2005, after I was forced to resign from my position. I am glad it is finally over and I have the money I should have had much sooner. It is sad that people have to wait so long and go thru so much interrogation to get it. Now, I am very interested in selling my items off as quickly as possible. Check out my auctions and store. Make me an offer and buy whatever you see that you want. I have lots of good quality children's clothing and may decide to sell them off in big lots, just to move them out of here. Thanks to everyone who has helped me get thru this disability thing. The things you have bought has helped me to be as normal as I could be, in relationship to having some kind of income. Have a great night. I know I will sleep much better.
Just before I go to bed....Posted Jan-23-08 23:40:28 PST Just before I go to bed, a little spam I must spread. As I sleep throughout the night, I pray that you will check my site. I also am starting to list some spring and summer children's things.
