BE POSITIVE...have fun...enjoy life...Posted Jul-17-08 08:24:09 PDT If everyone would try to think of something positive to say, they would feel so much better. The blogs should be for friendship, sharing, marketing, selling, and anything that is up-lifting in nature. It does not need to be a place to air problems with other sellers, using ways to communicate on here about who they are and how to find out for sure who you are talking about. It is not a place to ruin anyone's reputation, just because you don't like them. It is not a place to make anyone feel that they do not belong. Everyone has been upset over the new FB & star ratings. Instead of wasting time trying to figure out who dinged who, why not work toward trying to improve the area that you seem to be needing work in. Yes, we all think we are perfect when it comes to our businesses, but someone else may not see it that way. I have dealt with many who just do not think my items, shipping and overall experience is as nice as I thought it was. That will ALWAYS be the case, whatever you do. My ratings have stayed the same since this new star thing started. My stars do not have equal numbers of clicks....the two at the bottom are a couple of numbers less. I don't know how or if that impacts the reading or not. Maybe, maybe not. It is wrong to accuse people of doing things that you have no proof of. Many have blocked people from buying from them, and while that is their perogative, it only cuts out your business when you do that. And, to share your woes with others so that they too block buyers, is simply wrong. The experience that one person has, may not be the same with another. I do think the FB that a seller has to leave for a buyer is wrong, because all you can do is leave negative remarks with a positive rating. The buyer then has 100% feedback and that is the info. most sellers are looking for. I agree that it is misleading. I am hoping that Ebay will see it too and make a change to make it more usable for the seller. I do understand why the change was made because I have seen lots of retaliation going on and that is what is wrong with the whole system. I have found thru communications that there are some that I just do not feel comfortable dealing with. Those, I block. Still, it is my gut feeling that leads me to do that and I do not feel I should have others follow my lead and block the same person, because their experience may not be the same. It takes two people...a buyer and a seller...to complete a transaction. There are two personalities, which we all know can sometimes clash. Those same two can match up with someone else and make a perfect transaction.. What I am really trying to say is that it is sad to see so many people bashing others...using little "quirks" to call attention to certain people...name calling, etc.. Those are childhood games! I hope that God will get us all thru this awkward time of trying to readjust to Ebay's new rules. I feel that in time, it will be better. At least, that is my hope. God bless you all.
