Most Recent Posts BEWARE: Seller isoldit.id0233 leaving retaliatory feedbackPosted Sep-13-07 03:57:12 PDT Updated Sep-13-07 04:21:59 PDT Well I guess it was inevitable. Everyone knows it eventually could happen sooner or later. You know what I’m talking about; that big red mark on your shiny, peachy keen, perfect 100% score. Yes, we just received our first one, how do I feel about it you ask? Well to be honest with you it pisses me off. Who wouldn’t be when you have carried 100% in the four years of being on eBay? And did nothing wrong to deserve it. Anyone can read the feedback that has been left for us to see we are the kind of buyer's that sellers love. We always pay immediately if possible, or within 24 hours or as soon as we receive a correct invoice from the Seller. With the exception of one neutral we received over two years ago when one of us lost a parent and everything was total chaos, we have all positives, all very good to excellent comments left on our behalf from eBay sellers. So what happened this time? This…
Buyer: jananddouglas ( 180 Yes! I left a NEUTRAL feedback score. Here is the feedback the seller left for us after we left ours. It's followed by my reply.
It’s no secret that I am a firm believer in leaving and receiving honest feedback for the benefit of other Buyers first and foremost and then for the Seller’s benefit. I have left a few neutral feedbacks over the years and unfortunately one negative feedback, never have we had any of them give a retaliatory feedback and that is because we are honest. Before leaving that one negative mark I sent that seller an email explaining why I honestly felt I had no choice but to leave a negative, it involved issues I had emailed the seller about before the transaction was even close to complete. Even then I waited 11 days before posting that feedback. Feedback is not something I take lightly. I am posting the email we received from isoldit.id0233 after we posted our feedback. Before I do you should know this is the first email we received almost instantly from isoldit.id0233 unlike having to wait 2 ½-3 days before getting a reply from them. That happened 2 out of the 3 replies after I emailed to check on the status of the insurance. The third reply from them was the fastest and came within 24 hours I believe. It should also be known that in the second reply he totally ignored the real problem & blamed eBay’s mailing system for not getting the invoices to me. Never did they mention any problems they were having their system. I emailed yet again that I was getting their invoices and the problem was the insurance not being on the invoice when I would go all the way through their checkout. The third email was them assuring me they would put the insurance on my win even though it wasn't showing on the invoice. I have all emails, all invoices and the isoldit pay now reminders that I’m sure was probably computer generated but still annoying since I wanted to pay and couldn’t and I did email them this almost verbatim. Maybe I should post those too, if needed I will. Here is the email we received from isoldit.id0233
copied and pasted.
Here's the reply I sent isoldit.id0233 a few hours ago. Again copied & pasted so please excuse the typo’s, I was a tad PO’d when I typed it. From: dougandjanebay To: UseTheYellowbutton@ebay.com Date: Thu 13 Sep 2007 12:15am Obviously I hurt your little feelings by leaving a Honest, Neutral feedback that I told you in at least two emails I always did, (which by the way did contain Positive feedback in with the things to work on, you feel you have to act worse then my 5 & 6 year old grandkids and leave us a negative; boohoo. Anyone can, and will, read the feedback others have left for us and will see that in the 4 years and 277 purchases since being on eBay we always pay within 24 hours if not instantly, or as soon as we receive an correct invoice. They will see we are very easy to work with, extremely friendly, and helpful to those on eBay that need help whether it be a Buyer or Seller. They will see we are the type of eBayer's Sellers love. Oh, and when they read why we have one negative mark they will see it wasn't because we didn't pay on time, it wasn't because we are poor communicators or aren't easy to work with, they will see that the only reason we now have a negative is because we gave you a honest feedback score of Neutral and that made you mad. It totally blows me away that a supposed business person with a real, physical, store front would act like this. Grow up. If this is how you treat your customers I guarantee you will not be in business long. A little advice from someone who knows, if you can't take the bad with the good in the business world, you will never, ever, make it. Don't bother emailing back, everything that needs to be said has been said. Unless of course you really are a true business person and choose to make it right. Jan Carey I did nothing any differently dealing with isoldit.id0233 than I have with any of the other Sellers I have dealt with. We are who we are, honest, dependable, friendly, great communicators and great eBayers and our feedback shows that loud and clear and if a Seller cannot handle that they need to get out of the business. I refuse to let any seller bully or intimidate me in to giving anything other than completely honest feedback and if they want to act in a totally unprofessional, un-businesslike conduct upon receiving such then I will blast it all over the internet for all potential customers to see so everyone knows the kind of person they will be dealing with. I will also be emailing the iSoldit Company with this information, franchise or not I know the power of customer complaints, especially when they are legit. Respectfully, Jan Carey BEWARE OF SELLER isoldit.id0233 Why people watch or lurk instead of bidding.Posted Jul-18-07 06:16:15 PDT Updated Jul-18-07 08:16:40 PDT We just learned something new as buyers; apparently if you put something in your watch list the seller is notified that someone is watching their item (that is what we’ve read by some sellers). This also really annoys some sellers because they don’t understand why people just watch vs. just bidding on their item. We can help with some insight on this practice as we are watchers. Here are some of the reasons we put items in our watch list in no particular order: One of us see’s something the other might be interested in. One of us needs to think about if we really want, need, and (sometimes) will actually make use of the item. One of us wants to ask the others opinion especially if it’s a possible gift or an item we collect. Most importantly we are not a business, nor are we rich; we have to work and scrimp and save like most everyone else does. We look for the best prices around and are great bargain hunters, especially online. On ebay and other online stores you learn to look at the total cost including the shipping, handling and insurance. On ebay a lot of sellers really jack up their mail or shipping costs, packaging costs, and handling fees (there is another pet-peeve! We’ll add it to the Pet Peeve page and you can reply there regarding that if you wish, not on this page). ON THE OTHERHAND, if you keep looking you will also find those great sellers, and online stores, who will do everything they can to ensure your item is safe, secure, shipped as fast as possible and by the most cost effective way and still cover their costs and make a profit without charging exuberant fees.
