Most Recent Posts Ok.... My camera has fresh batteries and is staring at me....Posted Jun-26-07 15:19:44 PDT But I just don't feel like taking clothing pics today. Somebody please nudge me lol. Tried caffeine for a kick. How long does that take to start making me feel like doing something? Let's see... To procrastinate so far I have gone to the store, cleaned my desk off (good enough) and had a snack...Um drank some iced coffee and started this blog post. At least I am productivly procrastinating haha. Oh and I read the eBay stores message board. Does that fall under the business research category of productivity? Yes, I think it does indeed lol. Hey look, a camera!! ....Yes I know.. I hear you camera. I mean it's digital. It's not like I have to put a roll of film in it like the "old" days and go to the corner store and have it developed and wait a week only to find my finger was covering the lens on half of them. I could have had about 7 items photographed by now. Hey, even procrastinators need to vent. I know I'm not the only one out there. Can somebody share the secret to motivation? Let me see if I can devise a motivational plan for eBay photography. (Strictly for fun guide) Please no comments saying "oh my God she didn't even go over setting camera F stops and lighting!! Ok... Let's see about setting the energy mood. Step 1. Put on some energetic fun music Step 2. Sneer at camera (snarling optional) Step 3. Repeatedly change channel on Yahoo radio for just the right song Step 4. Try and think of step 5 Step 5. OH yeah that's the right song...Now turn it UP! Step 6. Too busy singing to #5 Step 7. Ok down to business. Get your items together that you want to photograph. Try and set a realistic goal like 10 items. Remember this is a "procrastinators" guide. We don't want to go overboard and all that. Step 8. After changing the music yet again, go ahead and get your lighting/setting ready. Step 9. Take a test shot of your first item. Check your lighting Step 10. Ok next items. Keep up the pace. You can do eeeet! Step 11. If you hate the song, change music again now if need be. Step 12. Stop making/reading this list and start taking pictures. This completes my first 12 step procrastinators listing motivational program. Best of luck! ~ Jax ps. C'mon caffeine...start working!!! OMG I actually listed today :) yes, really...Posted Oct-20-06 12:26:17 PDT Ok, brace yourselves...I actually listed today!! YAY lol. I know it's been awhile ahem.... but I don't remember it taking so long to get so few done. 10 new listings up today. Not a bad number. Now if I could only do that every day teehee. It such a nice day out, I feel guilty being indoors right now. It's never nice in Texas so the last couple of beautiful days have been a godsend. Went to Lowes and got a few flowers to plant and enjoy the outdoors yesterday. I even got a fig tree which was on their 50% off rack- Was only 8 bucks!! It already has figs on it too :) That will be really neat if the birds don't get to it first and eat the fruit haha. I can't find a good pic, so for now I put a picture of my cat on the front of the My World page lol. Nothing much else going on. Going to go see Jim Gaffigan comedy show tomorrow night, should be a blast. Anything to get out LOL! That's about it for today. Have a great day :) ~ Jax Welcome :)Posted Oct-05-06 14:55:55 PDT Hello and welcome to my blog for Hourglass Fashion. My nickname is Jax, so please feel free to call me by that. For those of you who are already familiar with my store or are new customers I just wanted to keep you up to date with some store happenings. As some of you may know eBay recently increased store seller fees tremendously and have actually driven alot of store owners to close shop and move on. With the fee increase news, I have to admit I was pretty upset as the news came along with other recent eBay related disappointments, most notedly the "stores in search" issue and the searches within stores not working etc. Normally I would try to list new things weekly in the store, but I was pretty bummed about the fees and changes and to put it bluntly, I just lost my enthusiasm and really haven't done much listing lately. I still have lots of goodies here just staring at me on the racks that I will begin to list soon. I was in the process of setting up my website but have been running into some shopping cart snags so that project is on the back burner for the meanwhile and hourglass fashion dot com will continue to redirect to my eBay store for now. Thanks again to all of my customers over the years. I am always happy to know that you enjoy your purchases and appreciate your wonderful feedback. Sincerely, Jax
