Hi everyone!!! I haven't been on here for quite sometime. I had my knee surgery on October 11th, and am still home recouperating!! Wow....you don't really know how much walking you do during the day, until you can't!! And boy did I take for granted how easy it was to sit and rise....now I need my husband to help me up and down....kind of embarrassing in the bathroom!!! Anyway, I will be getting the stitches out on Thursday. Now I have more on my plate...my 25 year old son is having a scope done on his right lung tomorrow. They will do a biopsy to check for cancer. However, the Pulmonary specialist says he will still need to have the lower part of his right lung removed. Yikes.....he is so young. He quit smoking cigarettes a year ago, because of the problems with asthma and pnuemonia. I'm trying to heal up, and have a back surgery to look forward to, and now this with my son....how do people cope with multitudes of problems thrown at you all at once. Please keep our family in your prayers... Now on the sunny side of things.....Halloween is nearly here....then it will be nearing Thanksgiving...then Christmas....is everyone ready? It seems once Halloween hits, all the holidays are boom boom boom...next thing you know it's the middle of January and you ask yourself where did the time go? This year is going to be tight on the old pocketbook...so any good suggestions for cheap, yet nice, Christmas gifts....please let me know. I'm also thinking of starting a care package for my nephew and his unit over in Iraq. I want them to know that we are thinking about them over the holidays and appreciate their serving in our great military for the rest of us to have the freedoms we hold so dear. If anyone wants to send a care package too, just email me for the addresses.
