What if Metal Gear Solid & God of War Game turned into Hollywood Films?

Critics always bash movies that are based of a Video game. Games are now heading to Hollywood to be filmed and it's not always a good idea. Even though it's happening a lot now a days, some games should not reach Hollywood and should stay a video game. Do you remember that horrific Mario Bros Movie? That was a bad movie. What about Double Dragons starring Scott Wolfe as Billy. The list could go on and on. I can't go on without mentioning Street Fighter, House of Dead I & II (YeS!! They made a part 2), and let's not forget DOA: Dead or Alive. All of these game were fantastic Games and directors and producers just ruin these Franchises by bringing out a movie for it. Ok, some games turned movies are not all bad. I guess you can put Tomb Raider (Angelina Jolie is so HAWT!), Doom, Silent Hill, Resident Evil Series and the Mortal Kombat Series into that Great Video game into Good Movie Category.

They were all recieved better than those other movies I mentioned above. I guess it really boils down to who is going to be the lead video game character and a good story script. Angelina Joile was perfect for Lara Croft. Although the Resident Evil Series was different than the game, it still turned out pretty good. I'm sure these two games, Metal Gear Solid and God of War should turn out to be good or better yet, EXCELLENT movies if it was done right. Of course, even with a solid franchise, it's never a sure bet that the movie will turn out to be any good.


God of War

Mythological movies are great. 9/10 times, you can't mess up a mythological movie. Can you imagine just making a trilogy movie out of this game. Follow Kratos's story line and get some crazy effects with the weapons? It should be really good. I suggest not to change the storyline what so ever. Add some nudity and this movie should be a Fantastic.

Metal Gear Solid

What can I say about this? This would be the all time Best Game to Movie adaptation. Guns, Spies, Betrayal, Girls.... and Solid Snake. He's is such a Bad Ass. The whole storyline of Solid Snake and his brothers are great. Hideo Kojima should oversees this project and not some lame director. This is his franchise. Don't let some idiot mess it up.
