Most Recent Posts Almost donePosted Jul-30-08 04:22:39 PDT Updated Jul-30-08 04:23:20 PDT The end of the Barbies is drawing close. I have not finished taking photos and posting the remaining items but I do have a list of the outfits that I still have: Pajama Party Commuter Set Golden Elegance Pink Bathrobe Barbie Tops Cork Wedgies Original Swimsuit Red Open Road Drum Majorette Original Swimsuit Blk/Wht Undergarments Pink Ski Queen Barbie Shoes Plain Blouse & Purse Barbie Tights Misc Barbie Items Two Piece Pajamas Registered Nurse I also have 8-9 dolls that I still need to identify and post. My plan is to finish having everything posted this weekend. Since this will likely be the end of my eBay Barbie adventure I am going to try a few variations on my auctions, Buy it now, longer listing times, ect. Does anyone have any favorite eBay extra fees that they think are worth the trouble and the coin? A little time offPosted Jul-22-08 13:48:43 PDT Although I am feeling highly motivated to finish posting the rest of my vintage barbie collection, I will be taking the next week or so away from eBay. In a day or two an old Army buddy of mine will be coming to visit and could not bare the shame of letting him know about my Barbie business..... just kidding, i could take him out if needed, lol. During some down time at work I have been reviewing some of the remaining items I have to sell and was super surprised to see the vintage barbie commuter set outfit was selling so high. Even the hat box alone pulled in what i feel is a large amount, and most were in far worse shape than mine. I am very anxious to list that item but at the same time I do not want to get my hopes up. Of course there are several other outfit and 8-9 dolls that I still have to list as well. Perhaps if time permits I will post the commuter set to try and raise some more beer money for my bro... If that turns out to be the case I will post some photos of him passed out with some vintage barbies, perhaps that will still up some additional interest in my auctions. lol I hope that you are reading this in good health. Jason Almost half way therePosted Jul-10-08 14:12:32 PDT Again I found myself not listing as many items as I had wished this week. One thing I did accomplish this past week was an inventory of the remaining barbie collection. I was happy to find that the +40 items that I have sold so far has only brought me about half way to the end. Now that I am near the mid way point, I am considering taking a more detailed inventory so that potential buyers can see what items I have not listed yet. Of course I could take further advantage of Auctiva.com's ability to schedule listings ahead of time, but only if I can take the time to do it. At the moment I am fighting to get the little peace and quiet that I have. Perhaps if I was more into Barbies it would be easier to get done. Of course if I had a deeper interest in Barbies then I may not be so willing to part with them. Busy timesPosted Jun-22-08 09:48:38 PDT I did not post half as many new listings as I would have liked to this past week. Work and school really wore me out, at least I was not bored. Just prior to posting these few lines, I did manage to schedule some listings for today and tomorrow. One of which is a vintage midge doll. I really need to find the time to look into the values of the dolls I have. Does anyone have any favorite sites that they would not mind recommending? Going strongPosted Jun-13-08 08:46:00 PDT This whole project just seemed to come out of no where and take over a good chunk of my attention. I am not complaining mind you, more like pleasantly surprised. I enjoy the work that goes into selling on eBay. So far my auctions are doing well, at least in my eyes, and I have several ideas that I am going to implement soon to try and increase their success. Another thing that I have found very interesting is the amount of international buyers that have inquired about my auctions. So far I have fielded inquiries from Japan, Italy, Ireland, Spain, and France. Are barbies super popular outside the US? Does it have anything to do with the value of the US dollar? Whatever the reasoning is, all I know is that my Grandmother is thrilled that her little grandson is an International Businessman, lol :) |
