Loving it

The more time I spend on my eBay project the more I love it.  Where to start...

Well this was surprising to me, but I love the feeling of checking the site and seeing that I received new feed back or that someone commented on a blog post.  I have been part of various social networking sites but I was never drawn into them.  They always felt silly and pointless.  With eBay there seems to be a purpose behind promoting social interaction between users.

Of course there is the extra income that comes from selling.  For me that is just icing on the cake.  When all is said and done money wise, my brother will get his portion and the rest will just go to my IRA.  Not very exciting but still a big plus.

The biggest and greatest thing for me is the extra sense of purpose.  I am not trying to say that my life is empty, for this is far from the truth.  It is more that I have something that I feel is more important than most of my leisure activities (video game, drinking beer, ect lol).

I used to play World of Warcraft, and wasted so many hours.  Since I started this project I have closed my WoW account.  I have reclaimed not only the time that I would have lost to the game while working on eBay, but also found that I have extra time for study and other projects.

There is however one major drawback to this whole adventure...

... I never know what to say when my Army buddies call and ask what I am doing...  "Just sitting around playing with my Barbie dolls."  is not gonna cut it LMAO.
