Cited by the National Geographic as the most visited country on Earth, France doesn't cease to receive an influx of visitors every year. In 2003 alone, the country welcomed 75 million foreign tourists. Not surprisingly, many of these visitors choose to extend their stay to study, work or simply just live in the "hexagon". In fact, by 2050, demographers predict that metropolitan France's population will be a whopping 75 million, securing its position as the most populated country of the European Union. So what is it about France that has visitors flocking and most likely has you fervently dreaming of the possibility to really experience the country? First, there's certainly no shortage of the wine, romance, and beauty. The beaches, seaside resorts, ski resorts and rural regions are also a major draw. And with French being the official language of 33 countries in the world and widely recognized as the language of love, many more come with hopes of mastering the elusively melodic language. However, France teases those who feast on its amenities. As alluring as the country is, it also proves to be one of the most difficult to call home. The French bureaucracy is painfully slow and inefficient and the attitude towards foreigners looking for work is discouragingly unwelcoming. This site has been established to make the process a little more streamlined. Our hope is to provide information and answers to your questions and concerns so that the path is a little less rocky. We have been in your shoes, and, just as you are doing now, we have struggled through the process and have studied, lived and worked in France. The journey to your experience abroad starts here.
