Jonathan's Rant of the Day!

GLUTTONS!

Ok, so we get it.  You can max out your credit card. Nice.  But here is the problem with your thinking.  You are actually ticking off a lot of us here on eBay who would also like to buy things. And you know who I am talking to here.  Those buyers who literally go onto every auction, and put super high bids on everything, so that way, they are guaranteed to win everything that they have.

The problem here is that most of these people are also the ones who are not paying.  They are starting a huge conflict in the eBay community.  They are making buyers upset, because we cannot get any of the stuff we want, and are monetarily hurting the sellers by not paying, and causing the seller to have to relist the item, or offer as a second chance.  I can say that eBay setting up the second chance offer was a great idea, as I have received a few myself, ironically in auctions where the same person kept outbidding me on everything.

So do us all a favor kiddies.  Calm down, quit trying to make people miserable and then hurt others because you need an ego boost.  Buy what you can afford, and share the wealth with others.  Sage words in my book.

My husband recently received an email from someone he outbid that was nothing short of appalling. Apparently he, my husband, had outbid this person on a couple of auctions by different sellers.

What you have to keep in mind is 1. some of us do pay our bills including credit balances 2. we have common hobbies that several thousand/million other people have 3. a LOT of sellers have more than one item thus the "second chance" and lastly when bidding let the highest bidder win.

Wow never, seems you feel slightly guilty. At least that is why people usually come out swinging. I meant these same 1 or two people who do it constantly now. Not someone who does it occassionally.

LOL Not guilty at all :) If I see something I want I buy it, within reason. When you get several people with obscure hobbies it is repeat buyers/sellers all the time and it truly is dog eat dog which makes it fun :-)

It goes too far when those that are outbid start attacking other buyers.

If I get outbid and then get a second chance offer my first thought is SHILL BIDDER! I hate second chance but that is justme!

Main thing here is that many people are just bidding with no intent to buy. That creates the hostility, not those who truly are trying to purchase. Or, it is those who are trying to artificially inflate prices, or purchase with intent to resell at a higher margin of profit. Ahhhh yes... Capitalism at its finest!
