Just to update. The seller who received payment in error, has finally refunded the money to to me and the situation is over.

The true seller was really great.  I have received my item and all is well. 

As to how it happened, you've got me.  I thought I paid as I usually do . I mean I never even heard of this guy, I did not watch closely during the payment transaction.  If I had been paying closer attention I might have caught it but I doubt it.  When I go to My ebay, and pull up the transaction it says that payment was sent to the true seller, but in Paypal it shows it went to this guy. The routing of payment is a mystery.I emailed him AGAIN, but it takes 12-24 hours for him to respond.  I guess if he still refuses to refund, I will file the formal dispute

In error a payment for an item was routed to someone other than the seller.  The true seller, within moments payment was sent, notifed this guy and asked him to refuse payment and refund. So did I. But he did not.He admits he did not sell item, but refuses to refund the money to me. It is 3.85 cents.  I don't know all that sellers go through or what fees are charged, but he stated thathe would be charged something for refunding the lousy 3.85.  How much could this be on 3.85.  I cannot believe this jerk has drug this out.  Paypal suggested a formal dispute,JEEZ he has been emailing me for days with excuses, so I thought we could work this out ourselves, obviously I am wrong.  I don't care about the 3.85 cents, it is the principal of the thing, he does not deserve this money.  I have never had any bad experiences on ebay thus far, I have only purchased 53 items, but I was really having fun, but this has tainted my wish to continue.
