Most Recent Posts eBay blog...or eBay ad????????Posted Jun-21-08 15:37:28 PDT Just what is the eBay blog? It would appear that some bloggers use it as a way to promote their wares...call me crazy...I thought blogs were a forum in which the blogger chatted about his/her thoughts. Lying on auctions...Posted Jun-21-08 15:06:03 PDT Updated Jun-21-08 15:10:48 PDT I buy and sell Raggedy Ann and Andy items. One of the most prolific dealers of Raggedy items on eBay misrepresents auctions all the time. There is no way to stop it. She is very careful about the way she words things...but for all practical purposes...she lies. Newby collectors get sucked in and bid on her items. She puts the big draw in the caption, then small disclaimers in the body of the auction. Her auctions are sort of like drawing someone into buying a Cadillac, then actually selling a much less impressive GM vehicle...with no explanation why. Religion on eBay...Posted Jun-14-08 12:55:42 PDT I have been battling for days over an item I bid on. The seller, a proclaimed "honest Christian," who also claims to communicate and offer "Guaranteed satisfaction," has created the worst experience for me EVER on eBay. She posted no payment policy on her auction or invoice, so I paid by check. I live in a rural area, and it takes awhile for checks to get to people. I assumed this would be ok. The seller entered into a dispute after 7 days. My payment arrived to her on day 11. She has refused to stop the dispute, blames me for hurting her (and for calling her names, which I have never done), has written guilt messages about being on her deathbed (even though she is on eBay leaving feedback and buying things, including diamond rings), and refuses to ship the item. She is returning my payment, has broken the contract, and is blaming me for being unfair. And this is an "honest Christian." Leave religion out of eBay, folks. It just doesn't belong there. Also, I am going to give her negative feedback, so check my feedback for her ID and avoid her like the plague. |
