I have a unique solution for all of you who have metal allergies and have not been able to wear earrings... Nickel free earrings are available and they work for some but not for everyone. Nickel is the most common metal that will cause an allergy. The next most common metals are Chromate and Cobalt, but any metal can cause an allergic reaction, even silver and gold. Because of this, Hypoallergenic earrings made of metal will work for some but not for everyone...My husband and I have developed a way to coat earwires with a clear plastic coating that completely protects your ears from coming into contact with any metal, but the earwires still look gold and silver.
