About the "0" FB buyers...

...this is my tip - I have blocked anyone that lives in an area where I do not ship, I have blocked anyone with NPB strikes, and those with a -1 or more FB.

I used to accept Money Orders and Cashier's checks, but no more - there has been a total rash of NP or Bad paying bidders, so I have also retrofitted MOST of my listings to IMMEDIATE PAYMENT required, and have restricted bidding  to PayPal account owners only.

SO, now I worry less about a bidder if they have "0" FB, knowing that my payment has a better chance of getting to me.

I was once a "0" FB myself, not long ago, and everyone has to start somewhere - I'm just cutting the odds of it being a bad transaction this way (that's the way I see it).

I do worry, however, about scammers still, and I really and truly do not like some of PayPal's practices, nor their fees, but I have found that since the change, it has been significantly better.

I think this was eBay's master plan, anyway - I'm just ahead of the gameplan in implementing it, I suppose.

Hope this info helps some of you!

That will probably work for most of you, but the uniqueness of alot of the items i carry, mean that people searching for these items are usually not regular buyers on e-bay or anywhere else, so if i cut out 0 fb buyers i would lose alot of business, i still take e-checks and money orders, but not personall checks, as alot of my customers are first time buyers they dont have paypal accounts, so ive gotta let em pay some way..a large portion of my business is international as they are large collectors of vintage american items, so i ship anywhere in the world..I have not had a rash of NPB but i am seeing alot of potential buyers trying to control the sale, what they will and wont pay for (shipping and insurance)..too bad for them, its my way or the highway, there are somethings i wont budge on, and eating shipping costs is one of them, same with insurance as most of what i deal with is vintage and not easily replacable, either you get the insurance or you dont get the item..
