Nightmare seller!!

I think there should be a forum where buyers can safely discuss their issues with vindictive, dishonest sellers. I recently won an auction for a disc that turned out to be a burned copy. I emailed my seller TWICE to rectify the situation. He refused to rectify the situation and did not seem at all concerned that he had broken the law. He became abusive and threatening. Now, obviously, he has my home address because he sent me the item. He sent me 19 threatening and abusive emails. I asked him politely to stop and he sent me TWO more abusive and threatening emails. I left him neutral feedback (so it wouldn't hurt his feedback score), giving him the benefit of the doubt that he was unaware that the disc was burned. He left negative feedback for me and let me know in no uncertain terms that he didn't CARE that the disc was burned.

Judging by the emails, I would hazard a guess that he is NOT 18 and should not be a part of ebay, but I am not sure ebay has any way to police that other than to ask you if you are old enough to sell here. If a child really wants to open an account, he would just use his parent's information to open an account.

Ebay SHOULD have some sort of safeguard in place to deal with people like this. I am sure my particular seller is not the only vindictive idiot on ebay. Buyers have no way of knowing, when they give their addresses and emails to sellers, what kind of freak or stalker that seller might be. I also think sellers should have to explain ANY negative feedback they leave and buyers should be able to have it removed if it is only done out of vindictiveness.

If a buyer pays immediately and the "check is good," the buyer should HAVE to leave positive or neutral feedback. A seller should have to give valid reasons to an ebay panel if he wants to leave negative feedback. In real life, sometimes only one person is happy in a business transaction. My seller got his money. I didn't get what I paid for. I should have gotten positive feedback and, looking back now, I should have left him his very first, well deserved, negative. Does anyone know where I can send this suggestion for ebay to review? Buyers should be allowed to state how an auction truly went without worrying that they are going to get negative feedback -NOT for anything they did wrong, but for telling the truth.
