E-bay selling!

Here we go again......

I have not been auction lately because of my job. Not much time to post items. But I have started my "spring cleaning" and as a result have found some items to list. I imagine spring will get e-bay hopping with people listing the items they have found laying around the house not being used. But will their be buyers? I do not know? When is the best time to sell? When is the best time to buy? and Do certain items sell better during certain times of the year? Do the seasons, months are even days of the week effect bidding? If you have any of the answers I would love for you to post them here. I am researching this but have not found any real answers.
Thanks,
Kat

Feedback??????

I am sure this feedback may not mean a lot to the occasional e-bayer. A person who uses e-bay only to make "once in awhile purchases", may not care for leaving feedback and may not even understand the importance of it. However to those of us who also sell on e-bay it does mean a great deal. I find it more then a bit frustrating when I sell an item and do not receive feedback from the buyer. I often will send them a message asking "if everything  was ok with the purchase" they respond "yes it is great thanks" but they leave no feedback? I cannot tell you how many items I have sold and this has happened to me. I am sure I am not the only e-bayer this happens to.

So I have decided to try and explain the importance of feedback. (My views)
  • Buying online is very un-nerving for a first-time buyer - So looking at a sellers feedback is a way to insure a buyer that they will receive the item and that it will be what they are bidding on.  I still look at a sellers feedback before I place a bid on an item especially high ticket items.

  • Selling on e-bay can be very frustrating - Because I sell honestly and try to make the buyer happy, feedback from other buyers helps to show that I am who I say I am and that they can trust their purchase will be a pleasing, happy one. Feedback is my reputation as a seller. The more positive feedback I receive, the better reputation I have.

  • To sum it all up- Lets face it their are con artist out there, they hurt all of us by trying to scam both buyers and sellers, however feedback is there to help us weed out the bad apples. But if no feedback is left how will future seller/buyers know that I can be trusted to make their e-bay experience a satisfying one?

Feedback is an important and valuable tool. Please be sure to use it!
Thanks,
Kat

E-bay Selling and buying is not only easy but fun!

I love to sell and buy on e-bay. I think the most important part to remember when on e-bay is honesty and communication! I am honest as a buyer and seller. I always communicate with the people who buy from me. I feel it is important to let my buyers know that I value their purchase and their feedback. I have even reimbursed shipping expenses that they had paid when the shipping cost turned out to be lower. I do not sell items to make money on shipping! I have seen items posted for  $.99 starting bid but a shipping cost of $50.00. To me that is dishonest and a lie. I am offended and embarrassed by tactics like that. For the most part I have only had a wonderful e-bay experience. If you have any questions or would like to hear some advice on "How to buy or sell on e-bay" contact me.  I do not charge for information I have received freely.
