Getting behind

Well it's been a while since my last post. I've been busy trying to get some knives ready to post on e-bay. They are selling as fast as I can make them right now though. Plus my tomahawks are keeping me busy, I'm behind 3 now. I'm kind of at a stand still right now trying to get over some poison ivy. the worse I sweat the more it spreads, awful stuff. Well I'm going to get back at it. Later

Anyone want to help me customize my blog?

I have no idea how to customize my blog, and would love to have someone give ma a hand with it. Any takers????

Another hot day

Whew I spent the day out at the forge and then in the shop working on knives. I hope to have a few more out soon. I guess I'm just trying to get the hang of this blog thing it's kind of new to me just sitting and trying to type what ever comes to my mind. I saw some great blogs on the opening page following some of the comments. There was one  with a wolf on it I really liked. Too bad this thing dosen't have a spell checker I could use it. Later!!!

Handforged Tanto

Well I finally got one of my own knives onto E-Bay, it's a handforged Hira Zukuri Damascus Tanto. I've already got a couple of people watching and am kind of excited about that. Let's see how things go. I'm finally getting in the swing of things again now that the weather is warming up. I can get out in my shop and lose a whole day working on knives. Cowtown is only a couple of days a week right now, and I'm working my backside off trying to get some items made for their gift shop. I haven't had any time to get som things made for my E-Bay site. But I will get some done eventually. Keep checking back.

Getting the hang of things.

Well here I have been on e-bay for a little while now, and have finally gotten a little bit more comfortable with the format, and selling. I do wish I'd sell more though. I decided to use a drop shipper to sell some knifes from to get things rolling while I get some of my knives made. So far no real bites out there yet. Frustrating, but I suppose it take a while to really get started. Well for the time being I'm learning how things work, and what needs to be done to sell. I hope to get things going with some custom iron , and some knives. I blacksmith a couple of days a week at Old Cowtown, a living history museum here in Wichita. I make different period items for use at Cowtown with their steel, when I bring my own steel I make things to sell for myself. Cooking tripods, dinner bells, candle sticks, and various other things. I have fun doing it.
