Keep it on the Fridge Part 2.............

Here are some more Did you Know?

*Coca-Cola cure for rust.....Forget those expensive rust removers.  Just saturate an abrasive sponge with   Coca Cola and scrub the rust stain.  The phosphoric acid in the coke is what gets the job done!

* Smart Splinter remover........just pour a drop of Elmer's Glue-All over the splinter let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin.  The splinter sticks to the dried glue.

*Balm for broken blisters........To disinfect a broken blister, dab on a few drops of Listerine..... a powerful antiseptic.

*Rainy Day cure for dog odor.Next time your dog comes in from the rain, simply wipe down the animal with Bounce or any dryer sheet, instantly making your dog smell fresh!

I like the splinter one, no more screaming child!!  No more tweezers or needles that frighten my son!

Thought of the day............

Thought of the Day...............

"Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do."

As it starts to get busy and the holiday season creeps up on us, I thought this was appropriate, because you all know that no matter how hard we try with customer service you just can't please everybody

Have a great day

Keep this on the fridge

Have had this a while now and I have used a couple of them and I thought other E-bayers would find this useful:

* If you can't Stop coughing, warm a cup of milk with raisins in it and Drink the milk and eat the raisins

*Did you know that? Drinking two glasses of Gatorade can relieve headache pain almost immediately

*Did you know that Colgate toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns

*Sore Throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup honey and take 1 tablespoon six times a day.  The vinegar kills the bacteria

* Honey remedy for skin blemishes.....Cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it.  Honey Kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and sppeds healing.

* Easy eyeglass protection....To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from loosening, apply a small drop of Maybelline Crystal Clear nail polish to the threads of the screws before tightening them.

*Prolong the life of a battery........... put them in the fridge.  This is great if the toys run out and you don't have replacements to hand, stick them in the fridge over night and the toys will be back to life enough to keep child happy until you buy new batteries.

So how is that to keep you going?  :)

I will post some more tomorrow,

Finally figured it out!............

I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out what to do with our Blog, then it suddenly dawned on me, the answer was in our name (so to speak)  I haven't made many posts, none of which really had any common theme.  But then yesterday I realised what I wanted to do.  So here it is, from now on hubbie and I are going to share with you anything to do with kids, and technology (computers/internet mainly)  whether it be Tip of the day, useful information, recipes, crafts etc.  Some of the info might help someone some of it might not.  But have fun, and I hope you all enjoy what we have to share.

So a thought for the day to start us off:

"You don't stop laughing because you grow old, ~ you grow old because you stop laughing"

I have to share just because it is late at night and all kids are in bed ...........If you need a laugh please check out this news story

First let me say this is not usually what I post, but I have to share just because it is one of those WTF!!

Catching up on news across the pond back home in England I came across this:

KIDS!!!

So I have to share with fellow E-bayers and mothers what has just happened to me, Get a call from school, my 5 yr old is sick, he was fine this morning, but he told the teacher that his voice sounds croaky!  We are a one car family, husband is at work on the other side of town at the base, and his boss is in a meeting he can't leave.  So I start calling friends and my Sister-in-Law.  NOBODY is answering their phone........ARGH, so I end up calling a cab company, waiting for the cab, school calls back to tell me that he is fine and happily sitting there eating his lunch!  OMG There is me freaking out because I don't have transport and my darling 5 yr old is feeling fine now.  Don't you just love them!!!

Has the world gone crazy Well TMX Crazy??

This is a side track from my usual blog!

Well I think it has finally happened, we have all lost our minds  All because of a red fury toy that rolls around the floor laughing!!!  It is a TOY people.  The world has gone nuts for this TMX toy.  I said to my husband, if we want one for our son for Christmas I had better get to the store just after midnight on the 18th.  Well my lazy rear end was tired and I decided I would just go to the store the following day.  So I log on yesterday morning and there has been a FRENZY on TMX's, and the price they are going for is absolutely INSANE, I tracked one last night and it was at $350 with still 2 hours to go.  I even checked online, Walmart is sold out, and Target is only selling them in stores.  So husband calls on the way home from school and I tell him what has happened, and he swings by the store, to be greeted by a man at the check out with 8 TMX's in his cart, yes I said 8, now unless this man has 8 children, WHY WHY WHY does he need to buy 8.  So husband gets to the toy aisle to find only 2 left on the shelf, and a employee who tells him of people buying them in cart loads, all day.

So we got the last two on the shelf and one is for my son for Christmas, and yes we jumped on the band wagon and listed the other one.

I have to say, I have never seen anything like this before, I am from England originally and I have never seen such a frenzy over a toy.

People we are crazy, but I can't wait to see my sons face at Christmas when he sees TMX, let alone when the box starts laughing at him!!!  ;)

From Yoda, to baby clothes, to NFL goodies, to Soccer stuff!

So there I was thrilled with my first ever purchase on E-bay!  My eyes had been opened to a whole world I never knew exsisted on the internet.  Don't get me wrong when it comes to the internet and computers I am a bit of a nerd, but I had never been to e-bay before.  And I am sure if you were to ask my husband, he probably wishes now that he had never told me about the world of E-bay!!

Just to go off track........... E-bay is certainly it's own little world, I think it is fantastic, especially for the likes of myself, a stay at home Mom.  Beats Yard Sales any day!

Once I had made that first purchase, I started to surf the listings and the stores and I swear I was like a kid in a candy store!  If I remember rightly my next purchases were clothes for our sons.  Some were new and some were second hand.  But what a fantastic idea, a place to sell second hand clothes. I am one of those Moms who does not believe in spending loads of money on name brand stuff for kids, especially babies/toddlers, they grow so fast.  So from buying clothes I then found the Sports stuff, especially the NFL goodies.  OH DID I HAVE A FIELD DAY.  See in our household we are HUGE New England Patriot Fans, especially the husband (has been since he was 4).  We live in New Mexico, and unless you support the Cowboys or the Broncos (nothing against these teams) getting Patriot stuff out here is very hard to come by.  Again my prayers were answered and I found it on E-bay!
I honestly couldn't tell you everything I have purchased  that has the  Patriots on it, but I have kitted us all out with Jerseys, T-shirts, Sweatshirts etc Footballs, License plates, even down to a pacifier, and Sippy cup for our infant son!

But see this then started a snowball effect, my husband one day wears his authentic jersey to work , and people start asking were he got it from, and the word was spread. E-bay, E-bay, E-bay

At this time, I honestly found myself telling people "I got it on E-bay"  It actually got to a point were friends would not ask me were our son's got that top from, or were I got that book from, because they knew I would say E-bay.

Like most people, I got my start buying, but soon I was getting the bug I wanted to try my hand at selling.........

That will be were I will continue next time, by the way this is my first time "Blogging"  If I am writing too much please could someone tell me, I do tend to go on and on!

That Yoda Costume

As I briefly mentioned in my description, my introduction with E-bay all began because of a Yoda Costume that I had to have for our 4mth old son.  See Moms will agree with me when you want a particular item for your child, especially when it is a first, you will move mountains to get it.  So it was October last year, and our 5yr old announces he wants to be Darth Vader for Halloween.  So in my wisdom I thought how cute our other son can go as Yoda (see I had seen this costume on another web site)  Did I know what I would go through to get the Yoda costume, oh no!  So my journey begins at our local Party City, no yoda costume, they are sold out.  Oh well, pretty much go through this every year because we leave it so late to get costumes.
So I try the internet, numerous Costume sites later I still have no Yoda Costume.  By now I have come to realise, that this particular costume is the hottest costume for infants.  Of course!!

A few days later, my husband utters the words "have you checked E-bay"  Oh what a mistake!  Before I go on, I have to say that secretly inside every stay at home Mom is an E-bay monster! (husbands beware)
So I log on to E-bay and search, up pops pages of yoda costumes, oh was I excited.  So my husband explains to me what happens and what I do, and the fun began!  It was very exhilarating watching and waiting for those days, minutes to go down.  I often wondered If I had lost the plot.  But the day I won the costume, you think I had come up on the lottery.  I was one happy Mom (just don't ask me how much I paid for the costume ;))  Lets just leave it at my son's looked adorable as Darth Vader and Yoda.

But for me it didn't stop there, because I started exploring and found some of the wonderful things people have listed on E-bay.....................

Hope you enjoyed this installment, I have so much more to say, this E-bay monster has to go and get her Yoda from his nap!  Happy searching to fellow e-bayers and hopefully you will tune in again for the next installment.
