My 16month old was up all last night, had to take hubbie to work, and older son has 2 hour delay this morning because of the snow, yes we had snow again this morning here in New Mexico. I should of taken a photo of before and after, because the before picture would of been a SHOCKER, my desk was at the point were I couldn't even see the mouse! But NO MORE, I am all cleaned, organized and ready to go! So if anybody had seen my post earlier it SNOWED here in New Mexico, yes SNOW, it was a nice surprise this morning, but in typical New Mexico fashion it has now gone. But it is still cold, and suppose to get even colder tomorrow and Friday. So it would be really great to get more snow. Well back to cleaning, have to pick up our eldest at 1:55pm, and I am feeling a bit peckish so I shall go grab some lunch. Catch you all later. Very excited to awake to SALES this morning, then hubbie goes off to work, open the garage and it is SNOWING. It has been cold, and was forecasted to get colder, but SNOW we live in New Mexico and normally you might get some Jan/Feb or even March, but now. VERY EXCITED, I love the snow, but it will probably do it's usual and be gone by noon. I need to go and get some more coffee, I am feeling all festive now that it has snowed! Was yesterday a good sales day for some, all?? Had a couple of sales but have a load of watchers, so hoping the weekend will be good. My niece made snowglobes out of babyfood jars with her Girl Scout
troop. Fill clean jars with water. Water can be tinted with food
coloring if desired. Add glitter into the water (for the "snow").
Spraypaint the lids gold or silver or whatever color you like. Then hot
glue small figurines or objects onto the inside of each lid, such as a
tiny trees, animals, people, etc. Hot glue and screw on the lids (with
the figures now inside) tightly. Let dry thoroughly. Hot glue ribbon
around the edge of the lids if desired. Turn babyfood jars over and
shake -- and watch the glitter swirl in the water like snow -- and you
have snow globes! If any jars leak water, try to remove the lids and
re-glue.
You can also put loose items into the jar with the water and glitter -- such as colored beads and metallic confetti cutouts -- that will float (and not disintegrate) and look pretty when the jar is shaken. So what do you think? Then because I was in the mood, got a wild hair up my bee-hind and changed myspace page to match as well. Awoke this morning to youngest banging the crib on the wall, and I am so tired. Do you ever have that feeling when you get a wild hair up your bee-hind that maybe it wasn't such a good idea!!! Need some coffee who needs some?
