Windy, Brush Fires and Cold weather how is it in your neck of the woods!Posted Feb-24-07 04:21:47 PST Morning Morning Morning all so I thought going from 65 degree weather to 4+ inches of snow in 24 hours was bad enough! Yesterday and this morning the wind kicked up a treat and when you live in the desert sand gets in your house like you wouldn't believe it! Picking hubbie up yesterday from work visability was non exsistent and there was a strange murky hazy covering over the city, hubbie asked if there had been any reports of fire, and I told him don't be silly it is not time for that yet. Oh how I was wrong, brush fire broke out yesterday just south of Albuquerque and with the wind it was turning into a pretty bad one. We got home last night to find we had lost power at some point in the early evening because all the clocks were flashing at us. So how crazy can this weather get...........somehow I think we have not seen the last of the craziness Who needs TV when most TV shows are available on the internetPosted Feb-22-07 08:57:12 PST Morning all, took the day off from the blogs yesterday as I have been working on our website, and attempting to relieve our house of the Retail shop look.......if you catch my drift. So last night was the season premiere of Jericho, and I had already set the DVR for my night viewings, which by the way I am the first one to admit I have too many SHOWS that I watch! So I turn to watch American Idol and boy oh boy can some of those girls sing, I am sure alot of people who watched last night are going to be talking about Lakisha Jones, WHAT A VOICE. Anyway there I am kids in bed, hubbie on the computer, TV all to myself and up pops a little box in the right hand lower part of the screen, my DVR box was promptly telling me that for me to enable the recording of Criminal Minds I would have to change channels, please select Yes to change or No to cancel recordings............................................................... WOOOOOOOOOOOO there Nelly what was going on, the only reason that message would pop up is because there was another program set to record, ask hubbie who denies all knowledge, and claims that he never gets to see the remote so why would he have anything recording! So I check the list of recordings and see what is recording and low and behold there is a Soccer game recording. But everyone in my house denies all knowledge of ever setting the DVR to record. So I look and see that because of the Soccer that was recording and had been since 4pm!!! That Jericho was no were to be seen on my recorded list. But thank goodness for the INTERNET, praises to innertube last night as I was able to watch the season of premiere of Jericho. Good morning all Having probs with Turbo Lister this morning HELPPosted Feb-19-07 06:48:08 PST Good morning all hope everyone had a FAB weekend. We have been busy getting our website up and ready, I am sooooooooooo excited about this, but I am not sharing till it is ready to go. Our sunday was slightly hectic but was rounded off my MISS TRUGRIT posting the custom teddy bear she did for me, which was AWESOME Love her work. If you haven't checked out her stuff please do because she does AMAZING work So my cry for HELP this morning is with turbo lister, I have a load of listing to do, and i have only got 2 things done this morning and I am getting an error message when I hit the upload. This delightful box pops up and says "parameter incorrect" I have checked, double checked and for the life of me can't figure out what the problem is, so my fellow bloggers PLEASE HELP, does anyone have a clue what this could be. Thank you in advance Good morning all gave our blog a slight face lift!Posted Feb-16-07 08:04:33 PST Good morning everyone, gave our blog a slight face lift last night let me know what you think? :0) So last night I had to go to the store, only needed a few items, was doing well grabbed what I needed and was heading to the check outs within 30 minutes of entering the store (that has to be all time record for me) So get to the checkout and BAMB I hit the "we don't have enough check outs open" to cope with the people in the store. You know this blows me away, I can understand when you are short staffed, I have been in that situation, my last job was manager of a coffee shop. But what gets me is the front supervisors can see how busy it is, and there was 3 of them just standing there last night while the few check outs that were open were 5-8 people deep with shopping carts. Could maybe 2 of the supervisors jump on a till and maybe ease the queues of people who were starting to get irrate. Just my observation and vent for the day!!! So my run to the store last night that started out very well turned into 30 minute shop, 45 minute wait at the check out! Enough of me rambling, I am going to get the laundry started and make some coffee.
