Some info on the new International Shipping changes USPS is making

Afternoon all, I posted this yesterday but I figured not everyone has seen it, here is some INFO on the new changes coming to International Shipping.
The USPS is also introducing Flat Fate Boxes for Internal shipping aswell.  I do have copies of the new rate tables in pdf form if anyone wants them, if so email me at kidzntech@comcast.net gladly send them out.

Remember if you are shipping International, items you have listed will have be changed by May 14th.  I am going through and changing mine one by one.

COUNTDOWN TO NEW, EASY INTERNATIONAL MAILING

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service’s most familiar and trusted mail products — Express Mail, Priority Mail and First-Class Mail — are going international starting May 14, 2007.

To make it easier for customers to mail letters and packages worldwide, the Postal Service (USPS) has simplified the eight main International Mail products into four: Global Express Guaranteed, Express Mail International, Priority Mail International and First-Class Mail International.

“Our customers have more international connections than ever before,” said Anita Bizzotto, chief marketing officer and executive vice president. “We’re giving them quick, easy international mail connections too, whether they’re shipping to a business or family and friends.”

Another simplification for customers comes in packaging. Also effective May 14, mailers can use the same Priority Mail and Express Mail packaging whether they are shipping within the United States or to another country. And as always, the packaging supplies are available free of charge from USPS.

“When you send Priority Mail or Express Mail, the Postal Service provides the same top-notch service whether it’s shipped from Colorado to Connecticut or from California to China,” said Bizzotto. “It makes sense to use the same packaging for both domestic and international shipping.”

Other changes to make international mailing easy for customers are:

  • The same flat-rate packaging already popular for domestic shipping can now be used for international mailing.
  • Online tools now combine a mailer’s customs form and address label into one, easy-to-complete document.
  • Discounts are available for postage purchased online using Click-N-Ship at usps.com or through authorized PC postage vendors. Online customers also can request Free Package Pickup for most International Mail services.
The following table shows the new International Mail product simplifications.

Along with the product changes, USPS has restructured International Mail prices. The cost to mail a letter to Canada or Mexico will change from 63 cents to 69 cents. For a complete listing of new prices, go to: usps.com/ratecase and select “New International Rates, Fees and Country Listing.”

In addition to the new International Mail options available for customers at post offices and online through usps.com, business customers may negotiate customized, flexible international shipping solutions based on the Postal Service’s International Customized Mail agreements.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits 146 million homes and businesses, six days a week. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to cover its operating expenses. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $73 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.

I have a few minutes peice and quiet

So I am popping in quickly as youngest is down for a nap early today because we are all going to the park this morning with a Mom from our bus stop, with her 3 girls and all her day care kids.So did everyone see the info about the new feedback system, what are your thoughts?  My brother back home in England said that it was great to begin with but it can become like an information overload, so I guess we shall see what happens come the 30th.

Right well I guess I had better remove myself from my computer, have a good morning/afternoon all, I will catch you all later

It has been a few days

Morning all, so I took a few days off from the blogs because i have been busy, but I thought I would pop in and say Hello to all.  We have had Soccer matches, Field Trips and Allergies to deal with in our household but things are slowing down for right now, but you know a woman's work is never done!

I sold a couple of items this past week to an FPO address, which was our first Military sale, and you know what how bloody easy it was to ship FPO, and I never realised that it is just like shipping within the US.  Learn something new every day here on ebay :0)  So I sent the customer a little message telling her Thank you for being our first Military customer and that to spread the word we now ship to FPO/APO.  So blog buds if you haven't let your customers know that you ship FPO/APO please do because it is very easy, and as this customer told me they are limited as to what they can get on base.

Morning some FUN info on FRIDAY 13th

Morning all, how are we all this morning?

So in honor of it being Friday 13th, thought you all might like these:

Friday the 13th is said to be an unlucky day.

The modern reason for this is said to come from Friday October the 13th, 1307. On this date, the Pope of the church in Rome in conjunction with the King of France, carried out a secret death warrant Against "the Knights Templar". The Templars were terminated as heretics, never again to hold the power that they had held for so long. There Grand Master, Jacques DeMolay, was arrested and before he was killed, was tortured and crucified.

There are however many other stories behind it

Superstitions about Friday being lucky or unlucky day have existed since ancient times.

The number 13 has been considered unlucky for a long time. Early Romans thought 13 was a sign of death and destruction.

The fear of the number 13 is called triskaidekaphobia.

Coupling the number 13 and a Friday is sometimes considered very bad luck. Lucky for us there are a maximum of three in one year.

Fascinating Facts about Friday the 13th

  • In French Lick Springs, Indiana, a law was once passed requiring all black cats to wear bells.
  • Greek philosophers called 13 an 'imperfect' number.
  • Friday was the common day for people to be hanged in the past.
  • Hangmen were once paid thirteen pence halfpenny.
  • Some Texans say never to cut any kind of garment on a Friday because it will not be completed.
  • Many hotels have no room number 13
  • Many buildings do not have a 13th floor.
  • Many airplanes do not have a 13th row.
  • Many ships will not start a voyage on the 13th, particularly, Friday the 13th.

Has anyone ever had a problems with Cleveland Wholesale?

Looking for some help and advice.  I purchased some new stock at the beginning of the year from Cleveland Wholesale, had no problems items arrived all good, then at the beginning of March I ordered some more stock, and it is now well over a month and I have still not recieved the items, I have emailed them numerous times and no response.  Tried calling the number on the site and all I get is a recorded message and the line then goes dead.  Have tried to file a complaint with Paypal and it won't let me do it as it tells me the transaction is not complete.  But they have the money.

Any suggestions as to what to do now would be greatlyy appreciated :0)

At this rate there will nobody left

Good morning Blogville how are we all this morning?  Have been up here since 4am and in need of some more coffee, but I just wanted to stop by and say Good morning.

Now I for one stay away from DRAMA and have rarely gotten up on my soap box, but you know what I am climbing on that soap box this morning and I have a few things I need to say.  This blog community for about 99.9% of the time is a FUN, CARING, SHARING place to be, whether you have info to share with other bloggers or you need to rant about your husband, or a funny story to share about your kids.  We all laugh, cry and moan together.  Now some of the time there is that .1% of people who think that because they sit behind a computer and hide behind it they can sling around hurtful, rude, disrespectful comments that by the time they have posted the comment the damage has already been done and they just don't THINK and STOP to realise the consquences.

To these people who like to hide behind their computer, YES I know there is FREE speech and all but if you keep up this CRAP Ebay will pull the blogs and I for one do not want this to happen.  The blogs are a great place and it needs to get back to the way it was.  We are all ADULTS here and for those who hide behind their computer you need to start acting like ADULTS.

Okay I have said my peice I am going to get some more coffee and wake up my son, catch you all later :0)

Morning all who ate too much chocolate?

Good morning all, how are we all?  Did we all have a nice Easter Weekend.  Ours was quiet but fun, never done an Easter Egg Hunt in the snow before!!!  And we live in New Mexico :0)  The boys had fun on Sunday, it was a joy to awake to a very excited voice telling us that the Easter Bunny had been and left eggs all over the lounge!  and he even came in my room Mom said our eldest.  Oh the innocence of being a Kid.

Well I had better get moving have to be at my son's school at 1pm today and I need to get some listing done.  I am the Mystery Guest Reader today, and you know what my son has NO CLUE it is me!!!  I seriously can not wait to see his face.

OH BIG THANK YOU to CRAZYJEANS for giving me shout out on the blogs yesterday, so glad we got your store front sorted :0)

I had better run, catch you all later
