Suspended payments

What is up with "Suspending Payments for Unauthorized use of Account"? This happened to me on a doll I auctioned off. I recieved the payment and promptly mailed the doll, thank goodness with delivery confirmation. I e-mailed the buyer and told her the doll was in the mail, she sent one back saying her daughter was excited to get the doll, later that day I get a notice from paypal that her payment was suspended and that they were investigating an unauthorized use of the buyers account! The following day paypal informed me they had returned her payment!!! It took two days and several calls to paypal to get them to help me get my money back. They eventually put it back in my account after I threw a fit which I should not have had to do. How can a seller protect themselves from this type of thing? Should I wait a certain amount of days after recieveing the payment before sending the item? That hardly seems fair to good paying buyers. Do sellers still have to pay listing fees if the item is not paid for by the winning buyer? I guess I'd better get to reading the fine print! LOL All in all I still love being an ebay seller and an ebay buyer!

Comic Books

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to auction off or sell comic books? I have roughly over 600 of them! Every imaginable title has been kept in individual plastic and stored for years. I know some of them have the potential to be worth a decent sum of money but I am willing to let go of them cheap. Should I attempt to group together certain ones or list them seperate? Should I make one listing with a catalog of names? This is something I have put off for a long time because I don't know where to start!

Refunds

I will give refunds with a smile! I really want people to be happy with their winnings. I was a shopper long before I became a seller and I learned what was important to me. Of course I want my stuff to do well at auction but I also want to have a good reputation for my honesty and my ability to make the bidders happy. I have rooms full of everything imaginable so I hope you'll check back often!

Dolls and such!

I have had so much fun pampering my inner child with dolls and other whimsical pieces that remind me of childhood. I finally broke down and bought a Blythe doll, my first! She is even better then the pictures. Madame Alexander dolls have caught my eye as well. I recently purchased Veronica Franco and Marie Antoinette from dollymaker here on ebay and they are spectacular! Denise Patton knows her dolls, they are priced right and ship fast....ya gotta love that! Living out in the country on an old farm I am able to find some wonderful items to put up for auction. I love the vintage bolo ties! I've kept several for myself because they make unique necklaces. One of the gentlemen I bought a few from was a bull rider in the 50's and 60's. He had some great stories to share and alot of neat stuff for sale.
