Most Recent Posts Yard looks soooooo much better.Posted Jun-09-08 08:48:48 PDT We've been having our landscaping redone. Beds outlined, reworked, mulched, and such. The fellow doing it has just started his own lawn and landscaping business. He cuts our grass too. Very considerate. Very nice fellow. Hard worker. Happy to do anything you want done. And my dogs gave him the two tails wagging approval the other day. The front and sides are done. Just need to have the back done. It looks 200% better. With my back and neck problems there is so much I want to do and can't do. He's going to leave the back so I can still do my puttering around when I'm outside with the dogs. Some days they just want me to be around. Other days they are happy to just be lazy in the back yard. Anyway if anyone from the general Cincinnati, Ohio area needs grass cutting, or yard work done I'd be glad to give you his contact info. Thanks MAKES ME CRAZYPosted May-25-08 18:43:33 PDT Seeing dogs without collars and tags just makes me crazy. I want to shake people and go even the greatest dog can slip out the door past you, dig under the fence, or even jump the fence. Put ID on your pets . . . collar and tags at minimal. Micro chips and tattoos are even better as they can't come off. My dogs have numerous tags on their collars. Vet info, my info, rabies info, and dog liscense. Plus, I have one indoor only cat who has a chip. I hate to preach, but Please ID your pets! I'd love to find this girls home as she is very well taken care off. Obviously some one cared about her at some point. A couple of years ago, a wandering basset found me. Wonderful dog. Fortunatly she had an old rabies tag with the vet name on it. They were able to trace it and give me her contact info. Her momma didn't even know she was loose. Before that I rescued an American Eskimo, pure bred that was walking down the middle of the street and about getting hit. Once again no collar and no tags. But through ads we did find his people. Its a hoot and then some. 280230016844 Protect them.Posted May-24-08 15:41:26 PDT Please put tags on your dogs as you will get them home much faster. Please micro chip incase the collar comes off. Even tattooing helps. Dogs can't tell people their address and phone number. You have to find a way to ensure that something speaks for them. My two have several tags on their collars. And I am now considering micro chipping. Not that Goldie could go far with her bad leg. Not that Belle would have the desire to go far. And true most people in our neighborhood know them on site. We live on a corner lot and our green fence stands out. But still . . . Micro chips can speak when they can't. I miss herPosted May-24-08 15:38:16 PDT I miss that hyper little terrier. But I know her mommy and daddy were glad to get her back. They had been beside themselves with worry. Plus, my two older dogs are getting some well needed rest. Romeo (the crazy rural fair ground rescue kitty) misses her. She played with him. It was so cute to watch. And Magic liked his puff balls (toy balls not the real thing). Magic terrier.Posted May-24-08 10:29:31 PDT For those who have been reading about the terrier type dog I found yesterday. Actually she found me . . . giggle. Took to my vet this morning . . . she had a micro chip. Turns out her owners daughter is a vet tech who had her micro chiped. Smart gal. Anyway, the dogs name is Magic. Her mommy came to get her just a little bit ago, so she has gone home. Happy for them . . . sad for me as the little girl was a blast. But glad she has her people back. |
