Most Recent Posts bad experience with sellerPosted Nov-28-06 21:32:06 PST Just a rambling vent here....I had been looking for a particular dog
figurine by Robert Harrop, the UK artist to give to a wonderful friend
who is moving of state in December. I was so excited to find one
on ebay. In fact, the seller had two figurines by RH. I won the
auction on Nov. 14 and was so excited. I paid on Nov. 15. The seller is
located about 30 minutes from where I live, so I asked if he would give
me a break on the $12.00 shipping. Nope, no would do. I thought, well I
really wanted them so be it. I figured that at least the
figurines would arrive fast, since I live so close to him. Nope. The
auction ended on Nov. 14, I paid by PP on the 15th, and they arrived
today, Nov. 28.... It was 2 weeks since the auction ended. UPS
delivered it. I had opted for USPS delivery, but that was ignored. When
the UPS guy delivered it today, i could tell something was broken. He
had used a small USPS box in which to ship the 2 figurines. But the
kicker was when I opened it. The delicate figurines were wrapped in a
length of paper towels. As I unwrapped the figurines, both of the bases
on each one of them had been broken completely off. They are
essentially useless now. I was so upset and frustrated that tears stung
my eyes. I got the seller's contact info and phoned him. No answer.
Sitting at the computer, seething, looking at the beautiful figures
ruined.. I left him a negative. In the almost 7 years I have been on
ebay, I've left only a handful of negs. This was one of those times
when it was not only justified, but required to leave a neg. It
appeared as if a chimpanzee had packed the figurines. No offense to
chimps. This was the first buying experience on ebay that for me was
the epitomy of buying from an idiot. I'm on the hunt once again
for a replacement RH figurine. So far no luck. shipping problem?Posted Nov-10-06 06:40:24 PST Is anyone else having a problem with shipping thru Paypal this
morning? This message appears: PayPal Shipping is not available.

2:45 p.m. She is 81 y/o and on dialysis 3x a week..has been for the
last 4 years. But she is not debilitated. She lives in her own
house, and has her mental facalties. But I am afraid she is getting
discouraged. She's had some severe bouts of tummy pain lately, so the
GI doc sent her for a cat scan. She had it on Wednesday. The findings
were that everything in the GI looks pretty good, however, the CT techs
found what they call a cyst on her pancreas. The doc stopped short of
calling it a tumor. They also found gallstones, but the do does not
seem too concerned about them. But in my reading online, I've read that
gallstones can cause pancreatis, which in turn can cause pseudo cysts
on the pancreas. I don't know. I just know it's disheartening to me, so
she must feel devastated, but she is keeping her chin up. Thanks for
any prayers you can spare. Coffee coffeePosted Nov-09-06 05:15:02 PST I desperately need my coffee this morning. After getting up
fairly early the first time this morning, at 5:30 a.m. to take our
senior citizen Great Dane, Moose, out to potty, I went back to bed.
Then Moose got me up again at 7:30 a.m. I fed him, Josey, and Wally,
our other two doggens, and am now just ready to make coffee. Anyone
like a cup?? *G* Sometimes I feel like I'm living on a farm. LOL
Gotta feed those chickens and milk the cows 'fore the sun shines! Just wondering....Posted Nov-06-06 21:34:31 PST Sometimes when I click on someone's blog entry, if they have a
blinking/flashing logo on their page, it crashes my browser. I use
Firefox. It has crashed numerous times, and always happens when the gif
on a logo is flashing or blinking. It does not crash when it is a
static logo. Has anyone else had animations crashing your web
browser? I'm on a Mac. |
