New Super Mario Bros. is a terrific 2D side-scroller that makes you think of the old games but never feels like it's just cashing in on past success.

The Good: Terrific control; classic gameplay that still works; great presentation; evokes the original games without feeling shameless.

The Bad: Additional modes aren't nearly as interesting as the main game; some levels seem a little too short.

How to get the best picture from your XBOX 360 with HDTV and HDTV cable? First make sure the video options setting on the XBOX 360 is set to 720 or 1081. The default setting is 480. In some cases you will also need to go to your HD Televisions options and change the video to 720 or 1081. We have had many people say the HDTV cable did not make much difference! UNTIL they knew they had to change the video option on the XBOX 360 console! (This only applies to HD Televisions)
