Most Recent Posts The Nigerian Scam'sPosted Dec-17-07 11:57:59 PST It seems that there is an epidemic on Nigerian based scammers on Ebay and even though so far Ebay has stopped them from going through at least my posted selling items, they continue to thawrt the system on the bidding cycle. EVen after you as a seller list your items to be maile withing the US, they find a way to bypass the system and destroy your selling item auction. So far I have done all that is required of me from ebay about this issue but it continues. I have emailed them about this last auction I placed, stopped dead by the winning bidder from England to ship to a Nigerian location but now my item not only is locked to this bidder but I am being charged for the final value of the item by ebay and relisting will cost me again fees even though it was not my fault. I really have reconsider if it is worth it to relist the item for the 5th time after all these charges. To be fair in the past four attempts Ebay did refund into my account the fees leaving them at 0 cost but this is a pain in the xxx relisting the item over and over again with no real guarrenty that the Ebay system will filter out outside US requests from bidders to place a winning or any bid on any item I wish to place in the future. If you experienced this, please place your comments on this issue (fixes, etc...). What I sell is in good working order and tested!Posted Nov-20-07 17:42:28 PST I pried myself in trying to sell items exactly and in good working order. Although I can not offer any warranty, if the item is damaged it is protected by the shipper up to I think $200 value unless added insurance is put on item before shipping. So far the few sold items have made the buyers happy, they got what they expected and in working order and I hope to continue that trend. If I am selling junk I will say so and let the buyer decide if they want it but that will not happen. All buyers please send feedback on item purchased so all can see (good or bad) and I can remedy any situation. I am not Verizon..oops... EBay's Selling system confusing.Posted Nov-20-07 17:36:02 PST I just started in this world of ebay and paypal and I have been very confused about how I set my selling items so things are done more acuratly. I have contacted EBay's support team but not had a clear answer yet to my questions especially in regards to adding shipping calculator to my items. Maybe this feature is only reserved for BIG clients, I am just a little guy trying to get rid of items I have that I no longer need turning them into cash but I am getting zapped by paypal when ending costs are met. I guess it's better then nothing but it would be nice to see someone tell me how if possible to fix this problem because by adding the cost of shipping to my invoice, paypal charges me for the final payment amount for their services. Its like paying interest on shipping. Well I hope to resolve this issue soon. Sent another email to EBay's support about this and waiting for response. |
