The maple festival comes to my town in mid-April.  There is a new gallery in town that sells local artists.  I've been doing Vermont nature photography for years.  So my latest items for sale are my attempt at getting the start up money I need to make prints and the rental fees on the gallery before the festival comes through town.

My last attempt at selling on eBay was a total failure.  I'm not sure why.  I guess maybe it's because I don't have any ratings.  I've been told if I buy stuff that I'll get a rating as well.  I'm on a fixed income and have been trying to find a way to get off governmental assistance for some time.  But without a car in a rural town, jobs are seriously hard to come by.

I spent the last money I had to my name till April 3rd on a postage scale packing material and eBay fees.

I thought maybe this gallery would be a way I could get together enough money so I can get a car.  A cheap beater from point A to B car off course.  But it would open up the Burlington area for work.  From there I'd be a few steps away from freedom.

Well, no bids yet.

I got my fingers crossed.

It doesn't hurt to dream.

I just posted my first two listings yesturday.  I plan on spending my profit on many more listings.  First I will be listing my large collection of books (mostly classic literature, some college textbooks, spiritually realted non-fiction, both hardcover and paperback in various conditional states).  After that I plan on selling some unique sterling silver jewelry and some of my homemade crafts: candles, incense and bath products.  But I also hope to get some deals on those wonderful VT maple products, to pass on to the community.  I just recently visited my first sugar house.  It's a great experience to have maple syrup freshly boiled.  I also plan on listing a very lightly used portable massage table after I look into the process of shipping it.  It is very heavy.  I will post a new blog after my first sale.
