A few days ago, in one of our treasure boxes of vintage and antiques, i came across a painting in an old iron frame.
It is a small oil painting of a ballerina, painted on a thick cardboard, covered with another cardboard in the back and  screwed to the frame with old rusty screws.
My mind was wondering and my imagination as well, the painting is not signed but it looks like the artist was very talented and i wish i had a way of finding out who the artist is. I asked my mother but she doesn't remember, the style of the painting is a Claude Monet style but i am sure it is not his :)
Do anyone know how can i find out anything else about this painting?

Even as a kid i always collected vintage items, old coins, stamps and anything i thought had a story, a meaning. Just the thought of who held this item or another in his or her hands, made me shiver and my imagination would wonder far and wide.
In the real world, my wife and i own a multimedia and design company, something that keeps me involved on daily basis with beauty and creativity. We never thought of opening a store on ebay until one day, a few weeks ago, my mother had to move from her house to a flat and she called to say she had found a huge collection of my father's coins and stamps and i should see it and think of what to do with it. Four days later i found myself opening our ebay store, Georges & Boots, names we gave the store in memory of a couple of puppies we once had and loved very much. So this is it. I hope i can share some of my passion with other people who are interested and appreciate the things i do.
