FRAUD ALERT! AD CUSTOM GUITARS D/B/A TRIAD MUSIC SERVICE (NY)

EBAY SELLERS: AD CUSTOM GUITARS D/B/A TRIAD MUSIC SERVICE (NY) - FRAUD

I'm creating this post to help others avoid losing money and time on a guitar luthier who doesn't deliver the goods and will keep your money. Amanda J. Vollaro and Dean P. (Pasquale) Vollaro sell posture themselves as custom guitar luthiers under the business names AD Custom Guitars, AD Custom Guitar Delta Classic, AD Custom Guitar Twangking Tele, Triad Service Company (the many business names they switch operations under should strike you as a red flag that they must change names frequently) and formerly had a seller site on Ebay as user "adcustom-guitars."

The business addresses they use to accept payment and sell guitars from are shops located at 77 Waverly Ave, 417 (and/or 112)  Patchogue NY 11772  PH631.569.2644  (note, they change their phone number frequently) and Triad Music Service  c/o AD Custom Guitars  114 Bayview Ave  Mastic Beach  NY 11951

The reason I'm posting all this data is because they insist on keeping $710 of mine that they were to build a custom strat for me and ship in 4-6 weeks for receipt back in September2007. Never happened. What did happen was a series of email and excuses for why my guitar would not be ready for another month. In September 2007, two weeks after the guitar was supposed to ship and I didn't get any word or response from them. Of course, end of November, no word, no guitar -

January 14, 2008 -- I FINALLY get an email from Amanda stating they are LIQUIDATING THEIR BUSINESS and will send my refund by money order and to provide them an address to do that but they can't sent it until they "get paid" -- by that, I believe they mean another unsuspecting customer pays them for a guitar they will never see and loses his/her money to these two scammers. I emailed them back telling them that sending a money order was not acceptable and since we both had an established PayPal account to use that more secure method. They subsequently changed their PayPal account from being under email address DPVOLLARO at OPTONLINE dot NET  >TO< PVOLLARO at OPTONLINE dot NET but it is the same account per the data report that came back. I can only determine that change was a means to avoid paying me back or to appear as an unidentified PayPal user under the original verified email address/account they had

Check the 11/27/2007 comment from AlfV yourself at HARMONY CENTRAL REVIEWS > AD CUSTOM GUITAR DELTA CLASSIC – it appears if you didn’t get stolen from outright, you got a piece of unplayable junk.

All I asked for was a refund. If I can't get my money back, I can at least help someone else avoid these folks by taking their business to a reputable vendor like Musician's Friend or to a local supplier that can't duck and dodge local consumer agencies. I'm also sending a Consumer Fraud complaint up to the Attorney General in NY Andrew Cuomo but that will likely just create a record of these folks on file and not do anything to get my $710 back.
