Most Recent Posts Hurled through the Air - And I actually Pay for IT!Posted Aug-04-07 15:17:11 PDT In only a few days - I am going to be hurled through the air. I don't much mind it as I am strapped into a l-shaped contraption that allows me to hold on tight while I am wincing - not unsafe or unpleasant either - I wince as I am a chicken. It just blows me away what our machines can do these days. The opportunity to get on a craft and sit down to be placed somewhere else on our earth only hours later. It isn't a harsh thing and it probably affects our bodies more than we could ever say it worries our minds. Yet it is mindblowing that we have taken these wonderful machines for granted. For me, it is only a day trip then I return immediately. For others it could be a business trip or a vacation with the family. When I look up in the sky I can actually see the planes coming across the blue yonder. They are close enough you can see the logos and colors painted on the sides. It isn't because I am too close - - It is because I live so high up. In other parts of the country you may get to see the fog tails of the jets or if you live close to an airport - the takeoff and landings. However if you live high - over 5,000 jets don't seem to be all the difficult to see. I can actually see the holes on the side of the planes some evenings as they zoom by. Zooming it really is. A wonderful thing that the pioneers could only dream about watching birds on the prairie. Today it is a serious reality for our lifestyles. And yes, I paid for it....
Blogging Begins a New EraPosted Aug-03-07 15:51:49 PDT Updated Aug-03-07 15:53:34 PDT Catch me writing and that would be a typical day. I love to place words appropriately on paper and get the opportunity to share decent thoughts with others...hoping they would be ready to respond to them in some manner. But a blog on Ebay isn't a place I have ever thought to put a few words. I mean it is where I sell stuff and that is good for me....YET that all changed earlier this week when a funny thing happened. . . It was the moment I was blasted by a person who I know (and is obviously miffed). He/she went to ebay and bought all these items just to ghost a buy - fake name, fake buys, hoping to prove a point that he/she is still hating. It took me all of five minutes to fix, but it made me realize that so many people read the blogs on here that I should start one to write a little every day. And you want to hear the delightful fakes buyers name: Usucks2007!!! Don't make me laugh - Just for the record - I sucked before then too. . . On a more serious note, my little store on Ebay became big when my boss fired me. Yeah, it was devistating - but not for the obvious reasons. It was because he pretended to be my friend and how he fired me. He fired me by putting my job description on Craigslist .org for me to find and for ME to call to ask what was going on (for those who are not familiar with the site - it works just like an online newspaper.) Not even being a decent enough human to say - hey look this isn't working - let alone being a friend to sit down and spend a minute to discuss it. He wanted me to find it while he was out of town. He wanted to be ruthless. Finding my job description there was bound to happen as it was part of my job to surf and find buys - it was the perfect way to destroy a person. Seeing your job in print, knowing that your boss isn't going to be paying (and still hasn't) and knowing you have to do something else for a while was one of those moments where the world can either be taken by a storm or you can resolve to be somebody's pet. I turned to my little store where I expanded and made into what it is today. Selling my vending books and my Disneyland books online has been such a treat. It brings out the best of my life and what I want to share with others. It also brings me quite a bit of happiness. No drama is found sharing those fun ideas with others looking out to get the best. No worries that someday you are going to run across your job online. And above all, the environment of people acting in a friendly but professional manner. This little blog will be updated often. Right now I find myself rushing across America for my job and my Ebay store isn't far behind - usually it is in my backpack just waiting to be qued by my laptop. And I am thinking a blog wouldn't be bad to share a few moments of brightness with others as well. So I definitely will make time for it...I hope you do as well.
