Most Recent Posts Day in the life of a daycare provider.Posted Jun-16-08 17:51:49 PDT I'd like to say that I've added a new cute lil 15 mos old to my daycare and he is just darling with his blue eyes and cute smile and all his charm. We had a great first day and he warmed up to me really fast. He didnt cry like his mom said he would. He actually didn't do anything that his mom thought he would like make a mess at the table or give me heck when trying to change him. I think kids even that young know how to push mom's buttons knowing when mom will ignore the child or give in. He is really smart and I'm looking forward to every day that I spend with him as if he was my own. I truly feel like I make a difference with the children. His mom is pregnant so she wants to have her new baby in 7 mos or so join her other child which I think is so cool. I am not relisting my auctions so you have about an 1 plus on two and then 2 hrs on the other to getta movin (lol). Life is a blessing. I find contentment in the little things. There is a bush in my backyard that just bloomed for the first time and it has only one deep orange flower that I love looking at. I love walking and catchin the sun rays. I love to drink lemonade on a hot day. I love to read a good book esp while sippin on iced tea while in a book store. I love to spend time with friends. I really enjoy spring and summer. It brings out the best in a person. Just when i thought my town was boring, I began to change my perception and start making my mind up to enjoy what little there is. I meet people all the time and just have friendly chit chat. Most people dont expect a stranger to just strike up a conversation. I've made it a point to make lunch or dinner plans with people to enlarge my circle. I met a lady through another new friend of mine and set up lunch at a country club and boy did I have a good day looking out onto the golf course and eating a great meal and basically learned a lot from this older woman who has experienced a lot in life. We share a lot and now she wants to travel with me. Life is truly what you make. It helped that I was off work for 2 weeks and my kids were gone so I had time to think about how I wanted to plan my days. My college courses have kept me pretty busy but with summer I have a nice lil break and the stress is gone. Anyway, have a great day everyone. I'm usually not a blogger but I took a stab at it. |
