FIRST ENTRY

Well, this is my first entry and I'm starting out on kind of a down note. I lost my first competitive bid. I was trying to buy a bucket of lighter leashes. I have only seen them in two stores here where I live. Every one that sees mine wants one, weather they smoke or not. I am convinced that I'll make a bundel from them. I'm trying to come up with enough stuff to sell so I can go to the flea market this week end. We have been with out income for nearly a year. SOMEBOBY has to start generating some positive cash flow SOON.
I did learn something. I did not know that when you enter a maximum bid, it will automaticly update your bid incase someone is bidding on the same item. I asked the winner for some advice and she told me that, and to always wait until the last minuet to place your max bid. I went back and read. By golly, she was right. I don't know what I thought it was for....maybe just to look at and tell yourself to not bid over that ammount???
I asked the winning bider what she was going to do with the lighter leashes. She said it was going to be one of her gifts at the Burning Man Festival. I've heard of that. It takes place in some desrt state...Arizona or Utah. A bunch of kids that are too young to be hippies get together in the desert during High Summer to run around in various states of undress, burning things. I can't fathon why. But then again, I don't understand why thousands of people spent weeks and LOTS of money to roll around in the mud and rain and listen to a bunch of bands 38 years ago. Somebody must be having fun.The first time I heard about the Burning Man Festival was 7 or 8 years ago in National Geographic.
I listed 2 items to sell today. If they sell, I will actually have made enough to pay my fees. I am grabbing every tool I can find to  help me get started. I'll have to sit down anr read it all soon. Ih! I bought a domain too. Yahoo was having a sale. I couldnn't resist $1.99 for a year, although I already have a domain with Google and haven't done anything with it. I am all ready, tho, for that Big Idea that's gonna hit me soon and make us, if not rich, at least comfortable. Lets just hope this is the first blog entry of the next Bill Gates. (Only I'm femail. lol)We'll see. I'm still thinking, looking and waiting.

There is definitely a learning curve involved with selling and buying on eBay. I read blogs and guides every day. Many of the bloggers have wonderful guides for you to read. These are free and you'll learn a bunch!!

Best wishes to you!
