Archive - July 2008 Screw It - I Need The Money For My Own...Posted Jul-24-08 18:56:44 PDT I had been saving most of my kids clothes for my sister who just had a baby, and for my husband's brother who is getting married next year and will be starting a family right away. We have a lot of nice stuff and thought who better to give it to than our siblings who are having our nieces and nephews. Save things for them so they don't feel the huge crunch of the initial baby set up costs. Screw that... We are having to cut back a lot these days on our financial spending. The economy sucks to where all services, gas prices, even the cost of electricity has gone up. Looking at the totes in my kids' closets, I can see dollar signs these days and am going for it. Slowly I have been going through them and deciding what will sell and what would be worth it. So unfortunately I can't save them for someone else to benefit from, I need to benefit from them now.... sorry booboo sister, sorry kel... The "IN" Brand in Kid's Clothes - GYMBOREEPosted Jul-15-08 18:14:32 PDT I do love the clothes! Gymboree does have the cutest girl clothes. The boys are not bad either, but not as cute as the girls. We have purchased some Gymboree clothes, and loved them. They are of great quality and most styles last several years as being "in style". And you can get most of your money back selling them on eBay when your kid grows out of them. Taking good care of your kid's Gymboree clothes, is like an investment. I am just now selling some of my daughter's 2T size that she is out of. I am certain I will get a good portion of what I paid for them back in the auctions. I have decided to use some of my reinvesting money for designer eyeglass frames and sunglasses for Gymboree clothes to resell on eBay. I will still get another lot of the glasses, just not as big as I planned. An experiment - invest $50 to $100 into Gymboree brand items and see how it goes... if it works well, I'm in. If not, more glasses! I found one good website for finding the line names, but it doesn't have all of them. I have done my homework on pricing, and I think I am ready to go in the next couple weeks! |
