Slow Sales, But Marathon Injuries at Home!Posted Jun-22-08 22:18:10 PDT Updated Jun-22-08 22:20:19 PDT Sales have slowed down for my eyeglass and sunglass listings. But the chaos at home only goes faster. We had a string of injuries in everyone but me last night. The infant has learned how to walk but wants to run and run fast. Unfortunately it doesn't work right yet and he crashes quite a bit. This is normal I know, but does he always have to bang, bruise, welt, or indent his head or face everytime??!! He hit the entertainment center right on his eyelid/eyebrow and ten minutes later hit the other eye on the play kitchen in the playroom. He also has a little rash under his chin on his chest from his massive drooling because he is teething so badly. This poor baby looks like he has a disease! Within about 30 minutes, my toddler was racing the doll's stroller down the long hallway and forgot to stop at the end and ended up crashing big time. She had a banged up knee, hurt her finger, and got a lump on the forehead. She was most affected by the fact that the stroller was broken. My teenager thinks he is a gymnast and bounces, leaps, and flies through the house, over the furniture, and does seem to usually land on his feet. Except for last night. He tripped somehow and flipped to where he landed crotch first on the corner of the ottoman. He is sure he can never have children of his own. My husband is the kids' jungle gym. They don't have Dad put them to bed at night, or even down for naps because Daddy equals playtime. The toddler woke up and realized Dad was laying next to her watching TV. She jumped right on her Daddy and tried to hug him landing a mighty painful pair of knees right into the small of his back. My husband has a bad back - a very bad back. So he was down for the rest of the evening and the whole night, so I got up with the infant and toddler all night.... guess I did get some form of an injury after all... 3 hours sleep on what was supposed to be my night off....
