In the teachings of interpersonal communications there is reference to "restricted code words", words that are used only in certain circles. The FCC strictly forbids the use of codes or code words in Amateur radio communications, how can they be so technical? Gimmy A DrinkPosted Jun-30-08 02:58:55 PDT Have you ever asked yourself how it is that the tobacco industry was so severely scrutinized yet no one even mentioned the alcohol industry not even MADD and did you notice how the tobacco industry buckled to pressure and gave all that money to individual states who didn't even use it to help smokers to kick the habit. It's all about politics again! Those so called elitist those who engaged in the social affair of drinking of alcoholic beverages, those same people whom benefited from the states windfall. Politicians, Doctors, Lawyers, Nuns and the like all engage in these so called social events involving the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The Tobacco industry has an ally in the Alcohol industry since neither of them is healthy for consumption. Go after the alcohol industry and watch who comes out of the wood work. By the way I don't drink or smoke. Who caresPosted Jun-08-08 18:49:10 PDT Updated Jun-08-08 18:51:21 PDT I cannot believe there is no response to my blog " Us and Them". Are we so disillusioned with our government that we tend to believe everything is just fine or is this just another I don't care there's nothing I can do or is this just another fad or game? I believe that unless and until we truly make our executive branch understand that we are tired of their blatant disregard for the rules and laws set forth before them that they will continue to abuse. Us and ThemPosted Jun-02-08 19:40:53 PDT We the People have spoken or have we, why do I vote? Have you ever asked yourself why our elected representatives have the best perks that our money can buy but when it comes to sharing those perks with us they can never seem to find a way. They want our taxes, free daycare, free medical, and runaway pork barrel spending and what about those ethics past Mafias bosses would have been proud as it is they're just envious. What about our constitution are we allowed to just alter it to suit our cause? We vote to give it all too them whatever they want problem is we're left out of the equation. If this were a company they would all be fired and without a multimillion dollar severance pay. If the constitution is good for the goose it's good for the gander. If our representatives truly believe that they are doing our business then they should not be against being treated like the rest of us. What do you think would happen if we initiated a grass roots movement to require them to adhere to pay-for-performance after all the constitution is just the constitution. |
