Best offer....worst nightmare????

Every since the introduction of this "feature" the number of inquiries and best offer requests has increased substantially.  I don't get it.... I don't have 'Best Offer" on my items because I am starting them at my 'Best Offer" price.  I don't mind an occasional 'hey I plan on buying 10 of these magazines what is the best you can do on shipping?" request but lately it seems like I am getting tons of "can you sell this item for 49 cents and lower shipping to 99 cents" requests.  I personally think "Best Offer" was a terrible addition to the eBay features.  Any thoughts???

I don't mind it. Its nice sometimes to get an idea of what people were thinking about as far as price goes -- I do sometimes find the really low offers to be aggrevating -- hey, can you give me a fifty percent discount, ship this for free, and make a couple alterations? heheee, you wanna say Surely, hold on a minute, my purple service Fairy-Gnome should be at your home Any Minute with the item, just pay him when he gets there!

I think that was my point... I don't mind a legitimate offer but the one's I get are ridiculous (usually) and I don't even run Best Offer on my auctions. I think buyers just think that everyone does them.

I've bought several items that way and only had one counter offer that I accepted. You're always going to have the idiots, but that is best offer or not lol.
