I'm incredibly disappointed to see so many claims of Greentown Glassware, which are unfounded. Most sellers will change a listing, if they learn their piece is not Greentown Glassware. However, there are recent entries, which are heavily touted as being Greentown and the seller became quite nasty upon learning he was not selling real Greentown Glassware. His descriptions of items being sold make it sound as though the pieces are authentic, when they are not. It's unfortunate this type of seller exists and with prices too high for non-Greentown Glassware. I hope everyone looking to purchase Greentown Glassware is careful. There are reproductions available, which can be hard to recognize, of course. There are also quite a few claims, which are unfounded and the seller is not eager to change their listing, hoping to find an unsuspecting buyer and get more money for a piece not worth as much. The National Greentown Glass Association is a great resource for books to help with identification of Greentown Glassware, other makers and reproductions. Please be careful when buying glassware claimed to be Greentown Glass and learn how to identify reproductions and pieces not made by Greentown.
