Heroes is Back!
As Reported From The 2008 SDCC Comic Con International!
SPOILER ALERT!
At last year's Comic Con the line to get into Ballroom 20 for the Heroes panel ran outside the convention Center and wrapped the building.
This year, Comic Con got wise and put Heroes in the enormous Hall H which seats 6,500!
Still the line was the longest of all three days of Hall H events. A horde of rabid fans camped out the night before. When we arrived shortly before 6:00 am, the line had already zig-zagged twice. Fortunately we found our line buddies Ana and Hector who camped out since 2:00 am and saved us a spot. YEAH! Otherwise, we'd have been catching all the action on the big screens in the back of the room!
The fans went wild as the entire cast took the stage along with creator Tim Kring and artist Tim Sale. The place was rocking off the Richter scale when Kring unlocked a briefcase that was chained to his arm and took out a DVD of the Season 3 premiere - and announced he was going to show us the entire thing!
So how cool was it to see the season premiere weeks before anyone else? And to watch it with 6,500 raving lunatic Heroes fans? Awesome.
How was the season 3 premiere? Again, awesome. There was so much action, so many reveals and new intrigues, I thought they'd started the LOST panel early.
Apparently the writers are taking a page out of the LOST playbook and coming back strong with plenty of action and lots of payoffs for the fans. That's the way to keep us happy.
The episode catches us up on the entire cast of characters - even Mr. Muggles - to the delight of the Hall H crowd.
Yes, everyone is back. Even that annoying Maya who whines her way through way too much airtime. But please, don't tell her I said that. I don't want her to get mad at me!
Wondering who shot Nathan? I'll tell you tomorrow!
Tina!
