The Upcoming 2008 SDCC Comic Con International....

The Upcoming 2008 SDCC  Comic Con International....

 

... does not have its' program schedule posted as of this morning July 7th 2008.

It is only 16 days away until Wednesday July 23rd's 'Preview Night'.

That 'Preview Night' is where attendees who bought the '4-day badge' can attend the special preview night, from 6 - 9 pm.

Those 4-day badges are already sold out, and so is the single day of Saturday July 26th!

Friday the 25th is very close to selling out at this time. The Comic Con is not expecting to sell any single day memberships at the door, as 125,000 attendees are expected to visit this year!

As I will be celebrating my birthday at the Comic Con this year, I am eagerly looking forward to the program schedule!  I like to 'block out' what programs I will be attending, as does Tina.

Not surprisingly, we quite often don't attend the same programs!

We'll be sure to blog about our thoughts of this year's Con shortly after it ends...

In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to blogging about this year's programs after they are published, and remembering the great times I've had there in the past...

The top right photo shows when the Comic Con was much smaller in size, and that food was served to comics industry pros and even attendees at parties that were open to attendees...

The 'free food' at events for attendees stopped in the early 1990's after the Con had moved to the San Diego Convention Center and the growning numbers of attendees made such functions too hard to service all those that came to feast... Those were the days! LOL! 

We also have an ongoing Comic Con  and Pop Culture convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

Good thing we have multiples so we have some access to a couple of functions but the bulk of what I need to do is in my H drive...

I love Monday mornings!!

We have Cablevision at home and for the most part, they are pretty reliable.

We watched the fireworks from our upstairs balcony, can see Aviara Resort's firework display each 4th of July from on top of the hill overlooking the lagoon.

Hope your long weekend was also a good one!

I am reallllly looking forward to the 4 day / 4 nights Con...

bushellcollectibles: I have worked for several companies where I wore the 'IT' hat besides being in finance.

These kind of mornings with server problems are nooooo fun for anyone!

I'm glad that I have several different projects to do here in case the cable
service goes down... Still have thousands of listings to get ready on turbo-lister
that could always be uploaded later!

We had Adelphia before their owners blew it, and Time Warner took over the
service area out here.
