We Got LOST at the San Diego Comic Con! (TV show that is !!)Posted Jul-24-06 16:38:12 PDT Updated Jul-24-06 16:39:09 PDT We got LOST at San Diego Comic Con!
(Actually with 120,000 people attending that would not be difficult to do!)
We were in the second row for the big Saturday morning panel with the creators and some of the cast of the hit TV show LOST.
Here are just some of the latest LOST revelations:
Jorge Garcia (Hurley) is a sex symbol! Who knew?! When he took the stage, the crowd went wild, and the young girls started squealing - the same reaction that Josh Holloway (Sawyer) understandably got last year. Jorge was certainly fun and personable, but I guess I just don't understand the younger generation!
Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) is really hot. So, when is Marvel going to do a movie on my favorite sexy superhero - Sub-Mariner. Kim would be perfect in the role! Surely it would gross more than the upcoming Ant-Man movie! File that one under what were they thinking. (More on Ant-Man in a future blog.)
No clones! While annoyingly evasive on most questions, co-creator Damon Lindelof made his most definitive statement in response to a fan question on the clone theory of the show. (Clones of all the characters were created while on the plane and the clones are what actually crashed on the island. Right!) So, he promises we'll never even hear the word "clone" on the show. What a relief!
Keep an eye on Vincent - left behind by Michael and Walt at season's end - the lovable dog will be back. Maybe everything is happening in Vincent's mind.
Most of the fans loved Season 2 (except for one mean-spirited young woman seated in front of me). I didn't understand most of it (and I solve most murder mysteries in the first few minutes!) It is one of the most creative shows on network television so I'm still hooked. But my brain will continue to deny entry to the red herrings strewn about each episode.
The most startling revelation of them all: apparently I'm in the LOST Season 2 dvd. Who knew? While waiting in line early Saturday morning, I met a woman I waited with last year. She told me that we were in one of the extras on the dvd. When you're at ComicCon, someone's always filming you. So, I didn't pay much attention, but apparently the LOST people wanted some fan footage - and what better than the people at the front of the line who'd been camped out since 6:30 am?! Just waiting now for my check!
That's it for now! (Pics to follow soon !!)
