If the shoe fits...wear it on your head

Ahhh...it is fashion week in New York this week and as such all the latest styles and trendy collections will be coming out to the rest of us shortly.  In this picture a creation by Japanese designer Kazuo Takashima is highlighted. This particular show was held as a part of the Japan Fashion Week events.

For those of us who might prefer our shoes on our feet the show is full of gorgeous new shoes and anything you can possibly imagine to go with your fabulous footwear. Being a native New Yorker myself...I am living vicariously through the email updates and articles I can read, and then there are others...Today, I am spotlighting the creative genius at Dior. Likely not practical...but.......

Couture isn't at all meant to be real fashion...it highlights the creativity of the artist, shows buyers what direction they are headed in...also great for halloween :)

I think those pictures are fabulous. To stare at a blank piece of paper until you can sketch something and then watch it come to life with colours, fabric and thread...magic. Not wearable in the real world, but magic isn't meant for mortals :)

The opening show in New York was ELLE and Walmart - no less! Can't wait to see those pics!

I'm kinda partial to the shower curtain too though....It even repells rain, on those rainy days when you just hate to get out of the house and wind up soaked by the time you get to your destination....dont fret we have this lovely shower curtain for you to throw on, go in style and let the fall just melt away.
