Most Recent Posts prepairing for Saturday doll showPosted Jun-22-06 20:11:51 PDT Once again I must fight my impulse to keep every single doll item I ever get my hands on. I finally bagged and priced some loose dolls.I find it easier to start with dolls I really hate, that I ended up with because they came in a lot with items I had to have. I started with a nude talking Dennis Miller doll. I considered dressing him in a tutu but realized it was a waste of even an of brand dress. Next I moved on to bagging the Spice girls, and boy are they going to go cheap. Then I went on to some Bratz , but I did keep some of their T shirts for Kelly dolls to wear. I also managed to decide to part with a few Fashion Avenue outfits but this was tougher. I put in the Polly Pockets dolls I had considered keeping as the rubber dresses creep me out . The newer Polly Pockets dolls have cloth clothes. I found some cool Dollfie sized sneakers I also put into the sale box as I decieded I no longer want to purchase a doll that is almost as tall as I am. I need to resist pulling anything out of the sale box before the sale. I decided to take my FAO Hermione Granger Tonner to the sale too and will get her signed and put her out priced but I won't be heartbroken if she doesn't sell. The feathered showgirl Barbies and tiny Kelly belly dancer dolls also will be on the table along with some custom made doll jewelry. I have to go to Athens Georgia to do some work in the lab that tests for Mad Cow disease. Ever since I saw that lab , I've been off beef. Athens Georgia has great thrift stores and I used to hit some of them along with the girls for the B-52, who fortunatley did not have the same shoe size as me, but the Athens stores are not good places to find older items as the college age population tends not to bring their dolls along to school .I did find a cool humerous Barbie T shirt at the Junkmans Daughters' Brother store there. |
