Do you need a logo for your eBay business?Posted Jul-09-07 19:07:35 PDT Updated Jul-09-07 19:32:56 PDT When I think of eBay I think of the colorful eBay logo... It's a good
idea to have a logo that your customers can remember. It is just
easier to remember a company name by associating it with a
picture. It's a good way to stand out from the competition. Your
business can suffer from an identity crisis when it looks a lot like
other auctions or stores. I think that a logo would really take care
of that problem.
You don't even need fancy paint programs to crate your logo. Most business do well with very simple logs. (You can use only text.) There are sites where you can make a banner or a logo for free. Adding a logo to free templates that other people are using will set you apart from the competition. here are few sites where you can make a free logo for your eBay business: acid fonts/bannermaker cool text banner break free-flash-banner Here is what I was able to create using the free sites above (not bad): If you like, you can take this image (made by me) for free and just add the text : ![]()

I just didn't know what to sell. I know very well that choosing the right product can be a difficult task for a new entrepreneur... first thing you need to consider is what is in demand? It's a good idea to check out Seller Central - What's Hot: You may become an eBay seller for a trusted label. I have considered it but, working on a commission might not be for everyone. You will need a very large quantity of sells to generate a nice income. Creating your Private Label is a great idea in my option. I purchased a sawing machine and in time will list some of my handmade & original bags. I always wanted to learn how to saw. let's just say that this is a little dream of mine.... but for now my original creations are not looking that great. I think that selling what you already have or even purchasing items at yard sales and such is a good idea. Just remember that people shop on eBay to get a great deal so buying new products might not be a win win situation. You need to make money and they need to get a great deal so used in excellent condition is the way to go and it must be something that you enjoy selling. If you like the product you will be happy and it will show in your listing description and how you answer questions/communicate with your customers. If you are excited about it others will be too! Seeing you being excited about the product boosts enthusiasm. If you dislike the product you will not have fun and it will show in how you respond to buyers and success will be very unlikely. When I look through eBay auctions I can spot right away who is really having fun. Only sell products that you would use yourself or feel confident givingit to your family. Quality of your products will ensure repeatbusiness and more likely positive feedback. ----mary-ava Thoughts on pictures for eBay AuctionsPosted Jul-02-07 18:14:20 PDT Updated Jul-02-07 18:17:11 PDT I have noticed that some eBay sellers do really well and think that having good pictures of your items is the key. My first tries at digital photography wore awful. My photos came out very blurry. I discovered that using a tripod or simply placing your camera on a flat surface and with a timer will make your images more sharp. Also, natural light is the best. That's why most eBay sellers take pictures outdoors. At first I thought that it was little strange that in most eBay auctions you see mannequins dressed in business suits standing in a green field. Well.... since I live in the city I don't have that option. eBay help pages suggest not using flash but I do and my pictures come out better with it. It's not a good idea when taking pics of glass or mirrors LOL! I really think that using a white background makes your photos more professional but unfortunately that might not always be possible especially when you have coffee walls. I learned that the closer your camera to the item that you are photographing the better! It's not a good idea to photoshop your pictures so that they misrepresent your item but lightening and cropping is ok. Well that's all the info for now and hopefully all of the items in my and your auctions will look good enough to bid or better yet buy! Below is a picture of my new bird. I found this poor little guy today and will keep it if no one claims it. He was on a branch in front of my building. I bought a cage, swing, mirror and some bird seeds at the pet shop and he/she is sleeping. ![]() Free Copy and Paste ebay Auction TemplatesPosted Jul-01-07 13:02:41 PDT Updated Jul-01-07 20:36:53 PDT Auction templates are a great way to jazz up your listings.
